  • Good Intro Skate - Sizing Help Below
For the price, I don't really think you can find a better intro skate. There seems to be some confusion on the sizes for these skates. I think the problem stems from the overlap from kid and youth sizes that these skates cover. There are mainly 5 types of shoe size categories: infant, kid, youth, women, men. These skates cover kid and youth. My daughter's foot is 6.5 inches, which makes her a US Kid size 10. The small size skate for Lake Placid covers US Kid sizes 11-13, or a range of about 6.75 to 7.5 inches (these are what I purchased for my 4 year old daughter to grow into). The medium skate covers US Youth size 1-4, which is about 7.75 to 8.75 inches. The large is US Youth size 4-7, or 8.75 to 9.75 inches. Hope that helps prevent a return/exchange for someone. ... show more

  • snap on snap off
So far my daughter says they are comfortable and she cannot wait to use them. I like that I do not have to waste time tying them or lacing them up. My daughter picked up ice skating as soon as she hit the ice recently. She wears a size 4.5 to 5 in shoes and has long slender feet but wide up front from wearing uggs and sneakers :). No chubby feet. ... show more

  • Fine for the occasional trip around the rink, but for serious skating, they aren't enough.
My 10 year old daughter takes ice skating lessons. I thought these looked great and were reasonably priced. Unfortunately after a few lessons her coach came to me and told me how terrible these are. They don't provide the necessary ankle support for figure skating or hockey type activities. We ended up purchasing a pretty expensive set of Riddell skates for her and that is working much better. These would be fine for the occasional weekend trip around the rink, but for serious skating, they aren't enough. ... show more

  • Cute and comfy
My daughter recently started ice-skating. At first we were renting ice skates At the ice rink but since she likes it decided to purchase her own. I’m glad I did. They are comfy and cute, bonus they will last for a while.

  • comfortable in winter.
super padded, sometime pad come out at the time of taking shoe off, comfortable but need to be tight to be secure. quick to wear then the lace ones. easy to adjust as per the shoe size.

  • Highly recommend
Great quality and can grow with your child! This is our second pair since we needed a larger size after a few years. The first pair went to a friend and they are still like new.

  • Don't bother
Bought these for our Granddaughter. She loved the colors and was so excited to try them on. Well she couldn't get them on. The boot part and tongue are so hard that you can't raise the tongue enough to make room for the foot to go in. My Granddaughter is slim with normal width feet.

  • Fits well, easy to get on.
These skates are great! They fit well and are easy to get on little feet (but still able to get nice and tight to not feel loose on her feet). They would not be good for hard-core hockey... but for everything else they are perfect for kids. My daughter wears a size 1 so I have them on the smallest setting currently. They are easy to adjust. She can skate well in them. ... show more
