  • Lovely quality and soft interior, but small!
Color: White/Gold Size: 10
The media could not be loaded. These ice skates are beautiful! They feel very well made, they are nice looking/simple and not too flashy or too many colors/patterns. They also have really luxurious padding and a very soft fuzzy interior that feels wonderful. They seem like a great value. I am beyond bummed that they feel so small on me. I always wear a 9.5 and these said that they ran small, so I ordered a 10. They are still too small. I was so excited to finally have my own skates so I would not have to rent them when I go with my child, but I don't know if I can actually skate in these. My toes are hitting the end - even wearing the thinnest socks I have and barefoot (not pushing on the ends really hard, and toes are not bunched up, but the toes are fully touching the ends of the skates) so it seems like this could hurt when I am pushing off and moving around...I think your toes need a little space, right? I go skating once a year during the holidays so it is not the end of the world, maybe I will try to still use these and hope that they are not horribly uncomfortable. I am obviously a novice and maybe figure skates are "supposed to" fit this way, really small and tight with toes hitting the end, but I can't imagine how this will be comfortable. The other thing to note is that they are really firm and stiff and tight all over. This feels comfortable now in the house, so much better than hockey skates you get when you rent them at these seasonal kids ice rink places, but I am not sure how these will feel once I am moving around on ice. I know that they are supposed to be close-fitting and that gives your ankle more support. But I also have huge ankle bones and think that it could quickly get uncomfortable. But the good part is that the padding is really thick and soft and might balance out the firmness and tightness of the ankle area of this boot. They come with small blade guards that look like they will not last too long, maybe that is something people usually buy separately. The last thing I would mention is that the hooks and loops for the laces are not metal so they may wear out over time if someone used them more frequently. This will not be an issue for me, I am guessing, but maybe for heavier use. Oh also the box they were mailed in is the storage box, so I wish they came with a storage box or bag of some sort for easier/safer transport. ... show more

  • Solid choice for modern looking ice skates
Color: White/Gold Size: 7
These Lake Placid Everest skates are a solid pick if you want a supportive, comfortable boot for public sessions and lessons. The synthetic upper has firm ankle support that helps you feel planted on edges, and the lace hooks make it easy to lock in heel hold without crushing the instep. Inside, the woven lining and padding feel warm from the first lap, which makes a real difference on a cold rink. The chrome plated steel blades arrive straight and true, and a proper first sharpening brings them to life for stable forward strokes and easy snowplow stops. Sizing runs to women’s whole sizes, and if you are a half size or have wider feet, going up one size is the safer bet for a snug but not pinching fit. Build quality looks tidy for the price and the boot breaks in over a couple of sessions without collapsing at the ankle. Overall value is strong if you want reliable weekend skates that look polished in white and gold and do not demand pro level spend. Pros include synthetic upper with firm ankle support, warm woven lining with comfort padding, lace up closure with lace hooks for a customizable fit, chrome plated steel blades that sharpen cleanly, they look modern and high quality, women’s whole size run with size up guidance for half sizes and wider feet, secure heel hold with quick break in, tidy stitching and consistent finish, and strong overall value for lessons and recreational skating. ... show more

  • Good but run small
Color: White/Gold Size: 10
They are good, but supper small. I'm wearing usually 9.5-10 and this scates run super small. I believe quality of them is good just I'm so disappointed because of sizing.

  • Pretty Ice Skates
Color: White/Gold Size: 9
I’ve never owned a pair of ice skates before (I skate very rarely and have always just rented), but these are so pretty I couldn’t pass them up! I sized up a half size but they still squeeze my feet a little, so I’d recommend sizing up at least 1 size if you can. I like the soft lining but they’re still pretty stiff and definitely need to be broken in. And they seem pricey to me, but maybe that’s all ice skates?? Again, I’m a total novice when it comes to ice skating! The thing I can speak most to is the aesthetic of them, and that scores huge points for me. White ice skates are classy and timeless! ... show more

  • Returns not free, sizing off
Color: White/Gold Size: 8
Meant as a gift for a friend, but it runs so small I had to return multiple times. And returns are not free had to pay additional shipping. Do not recommend.

  • Good skates (but they run a little small)
Color: White/Gold Size: 10
These are well made skates that provide good ankle support. They are relatively easy to get on and off with a nice velcro strap and easy to use lacing system. They run a little small, however, so size up when you order.

  • Stylish, high quality skates
Color: White/Gold Size: 9
These are very nice ice skates. My daughter takes lessons and I needed a pair of skates so we can practice together. These are a lot better than the rental skates at the rink. The boot fits well, it's easy to lace up tightly and my feet stay warm when I skate. These have held up well to a few weekends of free skating at the local ice rink. They're a great price for ice skates and I love the look. ... show more

  • Comfortable skates that my daughter loves using
Color: White/Gold Size: 8
I picked up these Lake Placid Everest skates for my daughter, and she loves them. The fit is comfortable and supportive, with enough padding to keep her feet warm while still giving her good control on the ice. The overall design is clean and classic, and she felt confident in them right away. The build quality feels solid, and once properly sharpened they perform very well. You do need to sharpen the blades before the first use and then again before each season, which is normal for skates but worth keeping in mind. After sharpening, they glide smoothly and handle turns and stops nicely. Overall, these skates were a great choice. ... show more
