I can confirm that both of these skid plates fit perfectly on a 2022 Model 3 Long Range. As another reviewer mentioned, for the front skid plate (under the Frunk area), you will need to use the 2 allen head sleeve nuts which come inside the box which will replace the 2 OEM 16mm head nuts used on the front skid plate only. For the rear skid plate (under the rear seat area), all the bolts are exactly the same and there were 2 OEM bolts where I could not use the OEM bolts for those two specific locations because they were not long enough for the new skid plates. Please refer to the green highlighted areas in the attached photos - one photo is simply a zoomed-in view which shows the curved areas around that bolt location better for visual reference. Even when pushing the aluminum skid plate as hard as I could (it doesn’t flex much in that area), the OEM bolts would not grab. It’s worth pointing out that even without those 2 bolts installed, the rear skid plate will hold extremely well when all the other OEM bolts are re-installed. The rear skid plate did not move or flex at all even with those two bolts temporarily not installed. I decided to go down to my local hardware store and I bought two 6mm x 25 (fine thread) bolts and two fender washers and they fit perfectly in those two highlighted locations and the brand new longer bolts are as tight as all the other OEM bolts. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Tesla had replaced the OEM fiberboard skid plates on my 2022 Model 3 Long Range with plastic skid plates but it’s still plastic and it will not provide much level of protection if you happen to run over anything hard or substantial. Since the Model 3 sits so low to the ground, it can be fairly easy to end up running over unexpected road debris especially at freeway speeds as my wife has done two times in the past year and she is a careful driver. These new skid plates are extremely well made and feel very durable. They are a huge upgrade compared to the OEM plastic skid plates. I’m sure they are a massive upgrade compared to the OEM fiberboard skid plates that some Model 3’s have. They also have a layer of insulating foam already nicely trimmed and attached which the factory plastic skid plates did not have any foam or insulation at all. These new skid plates look-and-feel like what Tesla should have originally installed from the factory. Fit well on 23M3. Be patient and if needed, bend the wings if they were bent in shipping. For the front, don’t forget the Allen heal sleeve nuts in the box. They replace the 16mm head nuts. For the rear, tuck in the soft fender liner.

the description on this set for the model 3 long range is confusing but I can tell you it will fit perfectly fine. the front is the only tricky part. there's one area in the middle where one screw will feel like it's not long enough. all you have to do is tighten every other screws and do that one last, then push it up a little and screw it in. Fits my 2018 M3LR. Uses OEM bolts just fine. Two bolts in the rear panel needed a spacer and the provided spacer bolts from the vendor don't seem to fit my bolts. I left those off since the panel is pretty stiff and doesn't seem like it will move. Panels are nice and sleek. I no longer have to worry about driving through puddles and shearing off the old cheap fiber panels. ... show more

Only installed front plate so far. Easy to install, by myself. Using only regular car ramps. Better than original because original skips to rear outside bolts…original plate doesn’t extend all the way out. This one does. It is lightweight. Great price. I’ll now install rear and post an update.

This is well made and fits perfectly. I noticed a small improvement in tire pattern noise ( constant tire noise that increases with speed), but like all the available noise reducers, and I have tried most, the model 3 has excessive tire tread pattern noise that doesn’t seem to be curable. One minor complaint on the rear plate. One attachment point required a trip to the hardware store to get a slightly longer screw as the OEM screw was too short. A second issue is there are two attachment points on the OEM cover that use a nut over a fixed and not easily removed bolt to attach the OEM felt cover. The Laformo plate provides a spacer to reach the threaded bolt, but the internal thread is different than the fixed bolt on my 2018 MY and can’t be tightened. The plate is quite rigid so I don’t think the two attachments are necessary. I covered the hole in the plate with foil tape so no water can get in. ... show more

Great Upgrade from the OEM Fiberboard skid plates on my Model 3. After about 3+ years I found a chunk missing on my rear skid plate and rather than buy another expensive piece of cardboard from Tesla I got these. Well designed, aluminum construction with foam backing. Installation is cake with the OEM bolts. These things are sturdy and sleek and no more danger of being ripped off in high water or hitting road debris. Highly recommended for lowered cars! ... show more
