These are some nice reading sunglasses. The frames are relatively light on the face. They are easy to see through and do provide a good separation of the distance lens to the reading lens. I found that long term use that they did feel a little weight on the bridge of the nose. The gradient of the tint was nice for a sunny day but did make it a little interesting to use for reading in anything other than daylight. All in all a nice set of bifocal glasses. ... show more

I wear glasses almost all the time, but mainly for vision correction for seeing things closeup, reading, and using my phone as I've gotten older. I have never gotten prescription sunglasses because it didn't seem worth it. These glasses looked promising, but I was a little worried that the bifocals would look weird and scream "old lady using bifocals!" However, these are fantastic. In the product images, you can clearly see the bifocal portion from the front, but in actual use, it is much harder to see the bifocal part behind the tinted lenses, especially when you are wearing them. Most people will never notice that you are wearing anything other than regular sunglasses. I love that! If you are new to this style, like me, it might take a little getting used to, but I love the practicality of it so I can protect my eyes from the sun and still be able to read my phone, etc. The style is a little bigger than a typical cateye, which I like. I might even prefer them a little larger, but they look good and are quite flattering. I love that you get 3 pairs of these and they are actually all cute. I am forever misplacing sunglasses, so it's nice to have spares so I always have 1 in my car. I'm new to reading glasses, so I wasn't sure what magnification to get. I got the 1.0, which works well, but I might have also liked a little more. Since it's a 3 piece set, I would have liked to have the option to get different magnifications in the same set so I can even read the tiniest print on packaging, etc. But, I'm super happy with the 3 pairs of sunglasses as-is and I expect I'll get lots of use from them this summer. ... show more

I bought these for my girl friend who lives with me and she loves them. She likes to sit out side in the sun and read. These allow her to do both. The frames were solid built and the price was budget friendly. Only down side I seen with these sets of bi focal sun glass's is that they only come in one frame size other than that they did have a variety of patterns. I only went with the one X and the strength was ok for her. I really can't say how the stronger ones work. The bi focal lines when I tried a pair on was about were it should be located. This is a review for "LADEESSE 3 Pack Bifocal Reading Sunglasses" I like these glasses WAY more than I expected to. I've had one pair of prescription glasses with bifocals in them and they were terrible or terribly hard to adjust to. So much that I gave up wearing my glasses and got a new pair made. Because of my past experience, I didn't expect much from these sunglasses. I am pleasantly surprised. The sunglasses part of the lens (no magnification) is exceptionally clear when looking around. The bifocal section is also just as clear, but oddly, that little section seems to be slightly less tinted than the rest of the lens. Neither good or bad, just an observation. I wore these glasses out for a walk to see if the bifocal section would bug me or be distracting. It isn't good on your eyes to look through the readers if you are looking for distance. I am happy to say taking an hour long walk, the bifocals didn't get in the way or make me nauseated in any way. While on my walk, I received a couple of texts and I was able to comfortably read my phone and reply to my texts. I am going to look to see if this seller also carries clear glasses. Yes, I can just put my readers on top of my head, but the taking on/off is getting old and I do not need a prescription for distance. I am pleasantly surprised and happy with these sunglasses. ... show more

    • Nice to read and have your eyes protected from the sun

These sunglasses are of decent quality. The plastic frames are just the right thickness...not too thin and cheap, not too thick and bulky. The colors are nice looking and don't draw unusual attention. The glasses fit comfortably on my face and behind my ears. I do not like them for general use walking outside because I tend to look not only ahead when I walk but down sometimes as well. Looking down when walking is blurry. I find these bifocal sunglasses are good if you are sitting at an outside table conversing with people and also looking down to eat or read a restaurant menu. They are also good for lounging by the pool and reading a good book. My vision requires 1.75 strength reading glasses which they didn't have so I ordered the 2.0. They are a comfortable strength for me and not too strong considering I got a higher strength. I do not require glasses to see distant. The lenses are clean and clear to look through. At $17 for 3, I think these are reasonably priced. It's nice to have multiples so I can leave a pair in the car, on our back deck etc. ... show more
