Description

The perfect combination of synthetic and natural materials, this shoe is the ideal compromise between comfort and technicality. The use of linings only on the toe and heel, leaving the center part unlined, allows the cat foot to combine the breathability and comfort qualities of leather with the precision and durability of a lined shoe. The patented randing edge system is an active part in the operation of the shoe and distributes plantar tension progressively. The asymmetrical lacing system allows for a custom adjustment of the interior volumes. The particular construction system, which places the sole only on the front of the shoe, allows for a better fit of the bow, while the heel adopts a modern construction designed to improve performance on the heel hooks. I’ve had many people recommend these as an outdoor sport climbing shoe, but somehow they were the only Sportiva shoe I’d never tried. I took a bit of a gamble on them before a Rumney trip, and they lived up to every expectation. I’ve never had a shoe that suctioned onto my feet this well. The laces give a perfect fit no matter what, and the downturn on stiff rubber allows me to edge in ways I didn’t think possible. They’re perfect on the smallest of crystals for the sort of very/overhanging techy stuff I love. They even climbed better in a gym than anything I’ve used before. I’ll be using these outdoors primarily, but part of me can’t wait until I give them a resole and make them a gym shoe. That’s my only complaint: they’re so good on rock that I want to save them for that. If they were a bit cheaper I’d buy another pair just for the gym. ... show more

Helped me send some new V5’s & V6’s! Fits like a glove. A very aggressive shoe that’s great for edges, toe hooks, and any fancy footwork you wanna try! I’ve only used them indoors thus far, but they aren’t too bad breaking in. A great shoe!

I’ve been wearing the Miura VS for two years and when I switched to the Testarossa, I immediately fell in love. I get better smearing on walls, better grip on small foot chips, and it has great edges. Definitely a step up from the Miura and definitely worth the extra pennies.

These Testarossa's have very good grip on your overall foot, there is a little discomfort at first but they prove to be essentials while bouldering.
