After reading the reviews I ordered one size larger than I normally would, and the fit is excellent. I can't say enough good about these pants. I like them far better than my 5.11 pants and for half the price. Immediately out of the package, they were a little larger than I'd wanted, but after washing they shrunk just a smidgen to where they were perfect. (Surprised me being 65% polyester). The quality build is excellent. The size and arrangement of pockets is excellent. This is my new "go to" pants for work and play. The small areas of elastic will accommodate CCW. And the Teflon coating should keep them looking decent. I never write reviews unless things are exceptionally good or bad, so it says something that I hunted this up to share my experience. The only negative (which I knew when I ordered them) was that I immediately cut the strings out of the bottoms of the pant legs because I have no need to blouse them. But I suppose some buyers will want to leave them in. I may by more one of these days just to get more colors because I'm going to throw away some of my other pants now. Good luck ... show more

    • Honestly the best pants you can buy for this price!
These pants are AWESOME! Before I write my review please take this into consideration, I am a big guy. I am 5'11 and 275lbs. Also, I work construction and fish or shoot in the mountains of Colorado nearly every weekend. I am pretty rough on my gear/clothes almost everyday so I believe I can give you an accurate review. These pants are the best bang for your buck you'll ever find. They are light weight, tough and extremely comfortable. In my opinion they fit better then 511 tactical pants that are WAY more expensive. The stitching is great, the ripstop material is AWESOME, they put extra material in all the right places to allow ball room and plenty of room to move. Plenty of pockets to accommodate me at work with tools as well as out in the field fishing and shooting. Now as far as fit goes. In Carhart, Dickies, Levi, Dockers pants I wear a size 42. This allows me to be comfortable in a relaxed style fit. I bought these in 44 as I use them to conceal carry and wanted more pistol room. They fit perfect, and even without a pistol they fit great. My only recommendation besides buying these, is to buy one size up. Again, don't think twice you will love these pants and won't find anything with this good of quality for this good of a price. ... show more

Very rarely do I write reviews so when I do, it's worth your time taking my opinion in consideration. I'll go with the negative first. The waist is smaller than expected. I typically wear a 36 in waist. I work in hot conditions and have been losing size in my midsection. So all my 36's have been getting much looser. When I got these, they were fairly tight but manageable. I could have gone with a size bigger comfortably. But as the summer goes on, I'm sure they will loosen up. The other issue was the amount of time for delivery. The item was shipped at normal rate of time but took almost 10 days to get. But this may not necessarily be at fault of the company since there was a 3 day span where no updates were made during shipping. These are minor issues at I still feel it's worth at least 4 stars. Positives: As of now, they seem really durable for the price. While I would love to buy 5.11 tac-lite pants, 3 pairs was a little much for my budget. But the way they feel are almost at comfortable. Being I work in high heat, I love how lightweight and breathable they are. And the small front pockets are a plus for me so I can have my knife clipped there for easier access. And lastly, I emailed the company halfway during the delivery because I didn't know if the package had gotten lost. They responded within 2 hours which was great. They told me to contact them the next day if I didn't receive them and they would ship out a new pair. I still waited a couple days so I wouldn't rip off the company. But I finally did get them. But customer service was great to deal with. ... show more

    • Durable, waterproof and easy to wash amazing pants!

We own Charity's Roof and Gutter Cleaning in Portland, Oregon. The weather here changes multiple times a day and my husband is always soaked by the end of the day. I bought these to see of they would work against the elements and be able to keep him dry. Best purchase ever! Not only is he dry but they are durable and don't hinder his movements on the roofs. They also have lots of pockets for his cell (also kept dry) which he was dropping constantly and breaking and any other tools he needs at his disposal. We are going to purchase 10 more so he has them as part of his official pro look for the company and require our staff to wear then as well. Highly recommend these badass pants for anyone in the construction industry!!! Side note: my husband is 6ft tall and 185lbs. I ordered the 32Ex36L which is his normal pant size and they fit perfectly. There is a small elastic band on the inside that allows for some flex on the waist and ties on the bottom hem of the pants to secure them around the ankle if you need to for safety reasons. Washing was easier than I thought too. They were grimey the first day. Covered in moss, dirt, algae. Popped them in the wash and they looked like new. Impressed and happy wife! ... show more

    • Here's hoping LAPG restocks on their tac-pants!
Because I was going to do more athletic kind of action (field airsoft) I wanted to find a suitable pair of that would be durable while at the same time more flexible than "normal" pants. When running around the field, you'll often find yourself in multiple positions and forms...no need to have your pants rip in the middle of a match. On top of that, I wanted pants that would be light and breath well...and I found it in these pants. I never really bought it for the storage space, but for those who need it, it definitely has ample space: two normal side pockets, to back velcro pockets, to front smaller pockets, and two leg-side cargo pockets. As to the size, I went with other people's recommendation on the pants and went one size up on the waist and they fit wonderfully. I normally wher 34 waist...so bumped it up to 36 for these pants. Their is an elastic band for added comfort, but it fortunately isn't much so as to give these pants too much elasticity that it loosens up. The only thing is the length is 30" (the shortest they got) and I'm definitely shorter than that. So I'll have to hem it a little bit which is unfortunate since it also has ankle tighteners that will become useless when i do. But still, that's a minor thing. All in all, I love these pants and if LAPG will restock these pants, I definitely would like to order more as they also make great "everyday comfort & utility" pants. ... show more

    • Quality - but sizing is inaccurate.

I needed a pair of pants that are durable, will not bind when crouching, are water and stain resistant and have sufficient pockets to carry an array of items; specifically for “manual labor” chores. For me those chores could include building a rock wall, framing and carpentry, gardening, clearing snow, repairing equipment or just mowing the lawn. I’m tired of going through jeans which cost $80 a pop. Ironically, the first thing that comes to mind for me are hiking pants. Well forget that. I have several and while they are extremely comfortable, they lack the durability and won’t survive what I will put them through. I don’t like the fit of Carhartt pants as they’re just a straight fit (I have larger legs) and I feel like I’m wearing canvas that would be better suited on an easel. So I thought further and determined that our men and women in uniform put their clothing through brutal experiences. That’s how I found these. Firstly, I’m a 32 in the waist and have a 34 inseam. That’s what I ordered. I couldn’t even button these, even though they have an elastic waist. So they’re going back and I’m getting a 34/34 and I’ll use a belt. While the pants feel a bit stiff I am sure they’ll soften up a bit with wear. I like the pockets. I like the fabric. I like the way they actual fit in my legs. I don’t feel as if I am wearing “loose” fitting pants. Mind you, my legs are larger than most mens’ because of the amount of muscle building I do. So the fit feels excellent around my legs. When my new pants come in and I can actually button them, I will return and add to this review. I have some construction to do here at my house including foundation work, carpentry/framing/roofing and some landscaping/hardscaping. I’ll put these pants through some rigorous testing. Then I’ll adjust my review as necessary. March 2022 Edit: Three years later, an enormous amount of abuse and more than 200 washes these pants are now even more comfortable. They’ve softened a bit, all seams are still rock solid, pockets are intact even though they’ve held screwdrivers and pruning sheers and nails/screws, knees are still good and belt loops are intact. Quite impressive, really. The 34 is definitely closer to a slightly loose 32 and is comfortable with a belt, with no binding. I have quality blue jeans that would never have lasted this long with this kind of abuse. And the gray doesn’t show dirt or stains as easily and I promise they are there after a few hundred hours restoring a 1956 Ford truck. Time to grab a second pair before they’re suddenly made in a different factory. It’ll be interesting to see if the new ones match the pair from 1999! ... show more
