I love the Dark Berries and Bergamot candles. I did 2 experiments. The first experiment was I burned 2 brand new 9.9 oz candles for 3 hours to mix the fragrance. Then I used it with candle warmer lamps. This way you will get a much stronger scent and the candle will last you a long time. The 2nd experiment was without burning the candle just using the candle warmer lamps. Either way you will get plenty of scent in the room. If you only burn this candle the scent is very mild if you stand right next to the candle. The crackling sound is very mild. With using warmer lamps the entire kitchen smells heavenly. The warmer lamps make a huge difference. The air is clean when you use candle warmers and the candles last much longer. I bought several 9.9oz candles and one 19.9 oz. all with Berries and Bergamot (my favorite) and I will buy more. Using these candles with my candle warmers for over two weeks - the candle containers are still full. I highly recommend these methods if you want more scent out of these candles. I have honestly never seen such a beautiful candle & I think this brand will be my new go to for a hostess or bday gift! The pumpkin chai scent is so evocative of the Fall season! If you're looking for a La Jolie candle with a scent, this one is not it. This scent has virtually no aroma or throw whatsoever. I have purchased several of the La Jolie Rose Noir & Oud (Rose Scented) Candles before and that particular candle has a beautiful, long-lasting smell. This sandalwood candle in my opinion is odorless and I would not recommend this scent. La Jolie candles are not cheap, so this purchase was not only a disappointment but an expensive mistake on my part. ... show more

The jar is beautiful. Tha candle and wick burn well. I am extremely particular about smells of candles. There are only a few that I like. Patchouli and sandalwood are among those I like. I have used both types of essential oil for over 30 years. This is no way smells like either. My best description of smell is that of mead/honey wine. Love the jar, love the wooden wick. The only issue is that the scent isn’t very present when it’s lit. Although i do have to say the candle lasts a long time which is great. I wanted to get a candle different than bath & body works brand because they’re so expensive and run out so quick, you get more bang for your buck here but i would love it more if the scent was more noticeable. ... show more
