The directions it came with were very good and easy to follow. Although you will need to closely examine the pieces before assembling to make sure they are oriented properly, holes up and down, etc. Ite a pretty good value, lightweight, I put it together by myself with no difficulty. All the pieces were there, even an extra one or two. Once everything was finally tightened up, it is sturdy, no wobbles or creaks, and it's a comfortable height.

Cute little desk perfect for small space! Great price. Pretty easy to put together but some of the holes were a little hard to line up. Missing one corner bracket but seems to be relatively sturdy without it (if I can’t get a replacement).

I am honestly annoyed with this problem . the screw holes on wood blank numbers 3 are too tight and does not allow screws 'E' to go into them ... Unless i use too much force that will surely break the wood . I think it is an industrial defect. Only the small tip of the screw can go in as showed in the picures. The rest will not go in unless you use too much force the will surely break the wood. Now it is time to see whether their customer service are cooperative or not . I have sent them an email and I will update this review with everything that follows up. -------------------- Update: I was able to solve the problem by putting careful force on the screws and they carved their way in into the wood blanks. This means that it will be hard to disassemble and reassemble the desk later on. But I am satisfied with the solution. I just made one suggestion for customer service to consider, I believe it will be much better and easier if the screw holes in wood blank number 3 had metallic sockets like all the other wood blanks have. Customer service was great to be honest, I emailed them on a Saturday and They responded in less than 24 hours even though we were on a weekend and their response was very cooperative. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars for 2 reasons : 1. The problem itself even though it was annoying at first, but it was easily fixable. Moreover, once you put that desk on its feet, you will find it very sturdy, stable and comfortable. The desk overall is a great product for the price. Also, its surface seems water and scratch resistant but that will take time to judge. 2. I was surprised by customer's service fast reply; even though we were on a weekend, they were there to help.

I was looking for a desk with a few specific criteria. Inexpensive, matches my current desk in both height and appearance, and sturdy. This met all those criteria. I have an easel attached to my current desk that I use for painting and have a tabletop easel that I use for drawing. I wanted a second desk so that I could expand my work space and spread out my paints or drawing pencils when I'm working in something. I find it is easier to be creative when I am able to just sit down at anytime and start working on a piece, without the hassle of pulling out all the materials from other places and making space to work. I wasn't sure I would like that this desk is L shaped, because of how I planned on positioning it with my current desk. But it has worked even better than I anticipated. The desks are identical in height, so I can use both as one continuous surface. And since I use a stool that swivels, I have easy access to anything on the either side. The desk was a bit of a hassle to put together. I followed the directions to have the shelves on the right. I don't know if the direction were wrong or the parts were labeled incorrectly, but I found that I had to go back and swap the front and back metal pieces for the shelves in order to install the brackets. I had followed the directions exactly and went back several times checking my work to try to figure out why there were no holes to install the brackets. I finally tossed the instructions and just examined each piece myself to figure out how to fix it. I do love that the desk has the extra brackets supporting the top on the shelf side and the cross bracing on the main desk portion. I've had much larger, more expensive desks that were lacking these. This feels so sturdy. I'm very satisfied.

You can't beat the price of this desk! It was so easy to assemble and you can install it left or right sided. My son wanted a small desk at the end of his twin bed and this desk was the perfect size. It's sturdy, durable and has shelves for his computer tower and misc items. I'm very happy with it.
