The previous reviews had me a little concerned, but the fact that it had one-day shipping for my address made me bite the bullet and order it anyway. I’m glad I did! It took me 4 hours to put together by myself, but turned out looking great as you can see from the pics. The only part that gave me some trouble was laying the wood desk tops and lining up the screw holes. It was easiest to start from the section where the two wood tops come together, then align all the screws out from there. Keep in mind, the metal frame is forgiving and can bend a little to fit the screw holes throughout the assembly, you just need a little elbow grease. Also, follow the directions to a T, they tell you exactly how the metal and wood pieces need to face which was helpful. The size was perfect for the corner of my guest room where I set up my gaming PC. I like the little bottom shelf for the tower. The drawer, while unconventional and isn’t on rollers, slides nicely and is a good size drawer. It was a little shady putting that drawer together. The cam screw fasteners were wobbly after attaching them to the two screws at the front of the drawer, but once all 4 sides of the drawer were attached, the drawer was sturdy. Another drawback of the desk itself was that a couple of the metal bars were dirty. Most of it wiped off, but there’s one metal bar that has a LOT of dirty scrapes on it and I haven’t taken the time to figure out what cleaner will clean it off yet. It doesn’t bother me much though. I’m also happy to report that there were no missing parts! Everything I needed was in the box. This desk functions perfect for what I needed and has plenty of room as a gaming desk. ... show more

    • Cheaply made, Faulty pieces, draw doesn't fit! Missing lights!! DO NOT BUY!!

This desk has many parts, a lot of work to put together. Many of the screws wont screw in all the way, and holes are misaligned. After finally assembling, last step was the draw, and its all misaligned. one side of the draw is 1/2 inch wider than the other, so it does not line up, will not fit the space where draw is supposed to go and the handle is misaligned and crooked and the screws will not screw in all the way, so the handle is also loose!! My package was also missing the strip lights it was supposed to come with. very annoyed after hours of assembling!! I then called amazon and was told they cannot just send the lights and the draw parts, They are sending an entire new desk, and I have to open the new box I receive, find the parts I need and then put everything back in the box, and call to have it picked up! Not only is this very inconvenient, the box is EXTREMELY heavy!! Seems ridiculous to have an entire new desk sent. The parts in the box are packed a specific way, very snug, so I am not even sure I can pack it back up to fit properly. I also feel this desk is very cheaply made after assembling. I asked for a discount on this item, considering the incredible inconvenience for me and the fact that it was terribly made but was told NO! I could only get a discount if I kept the faulty item with unusable draw and would not be sent a new desk in box to dig through for the parts I need. And...the discount offered was a mere $14. That is just crappy customer service. So, I would NOT recommend purchasing this desk. Its cheaply made, and extremely overpriced for such poor quality. ... show more

    • Decent Desk - Versatile Design

Ultimately, I decided that this desk wasn't right for me but, I came to that conclusion after setting it up several different ways and, although it isn't perfect for my office space, I did find another room in my house that it works well in. If it weren't for the reconfigurable layout, I wouldn't have been able to do this. Boxed showed up a little beat up but the packaging did a great job of keeping everything safe and scratch / dent free. Lots of parts and pieces but, the instructions are very good, and they included different sets of steps for each possible configuration. I found this great considering they could have just appended to one set of instructions. Each piece has its own number which is very helpful. I was able to set everything up (the first time) in about 20 minutes give or take. I would recommend having a good amount of working space as it does take some room to get everything constructed properly. At first I thought that the surface was too thin, but, it is very sturdy once you have everything put together. Feels like actual real wood despite the thickness which I think is a plus. Much better than compressed particle board or something weaker. The included desktop power strip is a wonderful accessory and the lighting is nice, if that is your thing. The drawer is maybe a little lacking but, it is much better than some of the fabric ones I have seen. The lower desktop shelf is also great and fits a decent sized tower. Measure first though :] So, all things considered, I like this desk it just wasn't as deep as I preferred after I had it all together and in place. It felt too shallow for the way I work. I don't think this would be an issue for most people but I really do like a desk with lots of extra depth. So, that is why I ultimately repurposed it to another room. In doing so, I had to change the orientation which, was a lot less of a hassle than I expected. Basically, its a long workbench in another area instead of the original L shape. All things considered, this was a pretty good desk and worth checking out, especially if you are looking for something you might want to change or reconfigure at some point. ... show more

I bought two of these, as my husband and I are both daily gamers and we wanted a good gaming setup to where we could play side-by-side. These desks are a lot bigger than I thought they would be, and I love that, especially because we have a lot of legos and figurines and keep buying more and are running out of space to put them. I am currently putting them together and am almost done with the first one. So far, it seems pretty sturdy and we are both really happy and excited about it. This desk had several welds that were improperly completed. I ended up using an angle grinder to fix the problem. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy this item.
