I’ve had Vibram 5 finger shoes and they were a Royal pain to put on so I never wore them and then donated the $120 Vibes to a transient. But intermittent foot/arch/heel/hip pain (foot bone connected to the ..ankle bone.. ankle bone connected to the ..leg bone.. leg bone connected to the.. hip bone…) prompted me to revisit why the heck am I hurting being so fit, good diet etc. After research I finally understand that feet have muscles and using shoes w arch support, albeit initially comfortable, do not “exercise” those foot muscles and they will continue to atrophy, get lazy and cause pain from stem to stern. I didn’t wanna shell out a ridiculous amount for vibrams, tadeevo, xero etc so I read the reviews on these, looked at buyer pics and decided to give em a shot. Well let me tell you they are a solid, very wide toe box , minimalist shoe that have zero drop and no arch support, which is good if you want to “cure” your foot pain (google stack block, and northwest foot for videos on what you need to do). And you can put ‘em on in 5 seconds with the speed laces instead of 5 minutes like vibrams. I have a wide foot and they fit great. I wear a women’s 9 which is what I ordered and will be exchanging for a 10 simply bc my toes touch the end of the shoe. Unfortunately there are no 1/2 sizes so we’ll see if the 10 works. The final selling point before I pulled the trigger and made Bezos a other $30 bucks was that I can wear my “Correct Toes” with these which of course I didn’t know for sure when I bought them but after I got em, put the CT’s on, there’s was plenty of lateral width for my toes to spread out and not be squished. As previously stated, I’ll just exchange for the size 10 because I need a slightly longer shoe. The price is definitely right and I would buy them again and again. Oh and a side note.. when I got these, I walked 2 miles on a dirt trail with CT’s in place and zero foot pain where as before I couldn’t go to the grocery store in my daily “high arch support” flip flops without suffering within 15 minutes. And just so you know.. no, I’m not a paid reviewer nor did I receive anything free for this review. 9-17-2021 UPDATE: got the size 10 yesterday and they’re perfect. Definitely recommend! 1-7-2022 UPDATE: I have worn these pretty much on a daily basis at the gym, not outside, since purchase. Ie-they’ve gotten punished! They have held up beautifully. Not even a hint of tread separation or material tears.se photos. Get yourself a pair! 7-13-2022 UPDATE: In short..one of the most durable shoe of any kind I’ve owned. I’m still trying to make these things fail but they keep on keeping on. Not even a hit of cracking, the sole peeling away… nothing! I purchased for my teen son as he loves swimming and always destroys his slides, so we looked for something different, durable and versatile. He loves the comfort and I love the fit, he is still growing, and this will last long after he has outgrown them. I have a high instep and need beach shoes that adjust across the top. These are comfortable. They were slightly long for the size, but worked out fine. I didn't have any problems with the shoes coming off my feet, although the insoles tended to slip out when I took the shoes off. For the price, I'm very happy with them. ... show more

I liked that I could wash these shoes. I liked that they didn't fall apart when they got wet.. I liked that they dried quickly in the sun, or just over night near a fan or heater. I loved that they have a no slip bottom and they are flexible, it almost feels like you are barefoot, this a a healthy shoe that lets your foot be a foot instead of being shoved in a hard shoe that makes your foot conform to the shoes shape. It stretches so even a person with wide feet or deformed feet, or fat feet can wear them also. But I have a narrow foot and they fit just fine. They look nice especially the black ones, nobody really notices them. They are easy to put on and remove. I wear them year round, except when it is rainy and cold. ... show more

Wanted a barefoot style watershoe for daily wear @ home, on the boat, to the beach, walking the dog. I ordered a style & color that was fully lined based on the picture on the product page Those I received were not lined & the upper material had circular perforations large enough for sand and small particles to sift in. Picture #1 is the online illustration. Picture 2 is what I received. The pluses are: 1) soles are made of a flexible, anti-slip material 2) wide toolbox 3) adjustable shoe strings with a locking device allowing a snug fit for those with narrow heels. The negatives are: 1)not being lined 2) the patterned grooves on the out-sole which allow mud, tar from parking lots, gum, etc. to collect between the grooves, which are all difficult to remove. I like the closely positioned razor-cut soles of boating shoes. The cuts are close together, provide great traction on wet, slippery surfaces, drain water, and don't collect mud or sticky material between them making them much easier to clean & maintain. ... show more

I ordered these to wear when kayaking/SUPing. I was nervous about ordering shoes that needed a good fit off of Amazon vs buying in store, but the size description/chart was perfect. These fit really well. Surprisingly for "cheap" water shoes, they are incredibly comfortable! There is just enough padding in the bottom to make your feet very comfortable, and the strap across the top fastens with Velcro so you can easily adjust the top fit to your perfect fit.
