  • Fit as expected
Size: 9 Women/7.5 Men Color: M_beige
The pair I bought fit perfectly. I really like how thick the soles are and very grippy so if you were boarding or boating, you could feel secure. I plan on using them as my go to sneaker for walks and camping in general. I think they look really nice too and feel well made. There were no loose threads or peeling. They are not an expensive barefoot sneaker but I think that anyone wanting to see what the barefoot shoes are like, these would give you a great idea. I just got them so I don't know how long they will last but they do feel like they could give a year of hard service or a few years of medium service. They slip on easily and feel great on my feet. Nice large toe box--flexible yet substantial sole. The inner soul is made to shed water quickly and is an open nylon like material. It may not last but could be replace with a store bought thin inner sole. I really like them and will order a second pair. ... show more

  • Fit wonderfully
Size: 9 Women/7.5 Men Color: G_light Green
These fit so wonderfully! They are incredibly comfortable to wear. They are very flexible which I love! They are also really lightweight. The colors are vibrant and they've held up great. I prefer no shoes but for things like indoor volleyball, I need something and I wear these every week. I will likely buy these again when I wear these out. ... show more

  • Good for water or hiking
Size: 4.5 Women/3 Men Color: A_blue
Very comfortable. Good shoe for boys or girls. Cool colors and fit nicely. Durable on the sand at the beach or on the pavement for a quick hike. They don't rub my heel even after being in the water with them. Lightweight too.

  • The alternative to FiveFingers you're looking for (if you take out the liner).
Size: 11 Women/9.5 Men Color: E_black
I love FiveFingers shoes and I would wear them all the time except for 2 things, they take time to put on and it's hard for anyone to take you seriously when you wear them. Face it, you can't even take yourself seriously, but they are so comfortable and invigorate your foot senses so well that you're willing to overlook this. So this spring I decided to look for minimalist shoes with toes connected because first, I wanted something I could slip on and off without having to sit down that weren't flip flops, and second, I needed some new summer shoes. I wear a 10.5 shoe (44 Vibram) and ordered these in a 9.5 based on people saying they run large. They fit great. I wore them for 2 days and thought they felt good, didn't look too water-shooey, and they were easy to slip on and off. My only complaint was that they were too mushy under the foot and didn't give me that minimalist feel I get from Vibrams. On the second day when I pulled my foot out of the left shoe it pulled the liner up a little. I grabbed it to put it back in and then it dawned on me to just take it out. So I took it out of both of them and have been wearing them that way since. The result is about exactly what I was looking for in a minimalist shoe with the FiveFinger feel, but with connected toes. Yes, they still look a little dorky, but I believe that's more a result of us as people being used to feet not actually looking and being shaped like feet. We think covered feet should look like shoes, but shoes are a bad representation of the shape and elegance of a naked foot. So for now I am wearing these daily. They are a ton cheaper than Vibrams. If they only last a summer, like a typical pair of flip flops, then I will be fine with that. I bought the black ones, but there are many styles that would probably look even more like shoes than water shoes. I didn't order them because I didn't want to wait for shipping. The only thing that I think would be better is if Vibram made some of their FiveFinger styles in a connected-toe shoe. I don't know why they don't do this because their shoes look really nice and I think it would expand their customer base. But for that you would also have to pay Vibram prices. I have an original pair of the kangaroo leather KSO Treks that are still going, so the price would be worth it, but until that day happens I'm fine with these babies for under $25 a pair shipped. If you are in the same situation as I was just buy a pair and try them. They fit the bill! ... show more

  • I really tried to like them more
Size: 7.5 Women/6 Men Color: E_white
I love barefoot and minimalist shoes. I own several types and brands. I cannot afford to pay full price for some of my favorites and many reviewers suggested these shoes were a reasonable substitute for saving money and still getting the minimalist benefits. One review suggested removing the insole to achieve a similar ground feel. This did not work for me at all. The sole of the shoe is lined with a rough mesh that is very uncomfortable when I run. So I tried using the included insole. That did keep the abrasive feeling mesh away but the feel of the shoe was still “off” somehow. It was as if my foot against the pavement hit the ground harder. The soles are soft and flexible so the reason for this is a mystery for sure. Maybe they are so soft that it removes all the “rubber” layer I am used to in other brands? The second issue I had was with the laces. They use elastic laces with the lace locks. In order to get the shoes tight enough, I had way too much extra laces waving around my foot. I also had a difficult time adjusting the tightness in the right areas of my foot. In the pictures you’ll notice that I switched to a regular shoe lace and that seemed to help. The final issue is noticeable in the side view picture. The heel of the shoe fits like a hospital slipper. It gives the shoe the feeling of being too big and just right at the same time. Maybe I should have tried a smaller size? But my toe is almost at the end of the shoe. The overall result of these three points is that, even when I’m only walking in them, my shins and heels begin to hurt. I made every adjustment I could to try and make them more comfortable for my purpose. Maybe they are an excellent water shoe, but do not believe they are a reasonable stand-in for a minimalist running shoe. ... show more
