It took me a while to figure this part out, at least for iPhone. To import animated gifs, install the GIPHY app on iPhone, find images you like, then save to camera roll. In the SpotLED app then click on Anime at bottom, then select the photo button. Select the saved animated gif and click on Choose at the bottom. After doing that it will have you tap the check mark in top right. This will allow you to use animated gifs on this display. Over all I am happy with the product, and it works well for some cool custom effects when I am live streaming. Not always the quickest to upload, but overall for what it is, it works pretty good. For sure an upgrade over the last sign I had which was very limited.

Everything works well. The only part I didn’t like was creating custom screens. The animation editor is rudimentary. Someone said use giffy. I will try it another time.

The app for the device is pretty rough. Bluetooth sync is poorly implemented, and requires your location for no good reason. Frequently de-syncs, and re-connecting is a hassle at BEST. The art tools have extremely limited functionality, so unless you just do the "add photo" and walk away, youre better off using any other app or software to make your image, and then importing it. Nothing is really impressive, and has enough problems to be frustrating, but it gets the job done.

It was great at first but I’ve only played with it a hand full of times for just a few minutes. And now there’s 5 pixels that don’t change color they randomly flash different colors.

We got tired of creating signs no one reads in our store. If we are having a SALE! we want people to notice. If we are closed for maintenance, if we are open New Year's Day, if we are now hiring, if we have a new shipment, if we want you to like us on Facebook, nothing could be easier or more effective than programming a colorful action sign to let everybody know. I still don't have down all the possibilities and capabilities of this sign, but what we have done with it so far it has more than paid for itself! Shows up best in the dark, of course, but in every other lighting situation as well, except maybe bright sunlight.
