  • Excellent bed. Built to last
Size: X-Large - 44" x 27" Color: Smoke
I’ve had this bed (extra large) for 2 years with 2 Dobermans. One 90lbs and one 75lbs wrestling and running to jump on the bed. They sometimes slide it across the floor, chew on it, dig on it and rough house every way possible. We’ve left it outside in the sun, rain and snow. The dogs STILL love itand use it daily. I am buying a second one so they both can use it at the same time. ... show more

  • easy enough instruction video. Could use extra hands when assembling the corners
Size: Large - 40" x 25" Color: Burgundy
I have a full size senior collie. She has destroyed every bed I have ever purchased for her, due to severe separation anxiety. We have only had this a few days, but so far so good. Whenever I check the security camera, she is snoozing away on it. She has very painful hips, so I am hopeful this bed will help ease her discomfort. I wish I would have ordered an X-Large bed, so she would have more room to stretch out if she wanted to. However, she seems to like the bed. The facility that I take her on occasion for doggy daycare recommended the Kuranda beds, as that is what they use, and they told me that Ginger does well with the beds while she is there. Update: She rarely uses the bed when I am at home, but when I am work, she uses it the majority of the day. She has not tried to destroy it, and the best part is, that she has not destroyed anything else in my apartment when I am gone! ... show more

  • Customized a wire crate with a Kuranda bed and our dog couldn't be happier.
Size: Small - 30" x 20" Color: Gold
Have two Almond-colored beds, which have lasted 10-12+ years with indoor/outdoor use. They are still going strong, even with some hairline cracks in the corners. (Hey, after 10-12 years, we all get a few hairline cracks. lol) So when shopping for more dog beds, knew these are worth the extra money. Much cheaper than buying junky beds every year or two. Shelters, rescues, and dog care centers like these beds. You know they aren't going to waste their money on something that will fall apart quickly. For people that just want the facts: * Great beds. * Dog love 'em. * Easy to clean. * Chew proof. * Walnut color is a nice upgrade to the standard Almond PVC. Who knew PVC could look this classy? * They also make a short-legged version for crates. Great idea! For people wanting more details about the bed: * The Walnut PVC has more of a furniture look and looks nice in the house. Walnut has a subtle, gold shimmery undertone. We picked the Khaki (Gold) Cordura fabric and it's a great match. * Our original Almond beds have the Vinyl weave, which is an open, rougher weave. (Still nice and comfy.) Cordura is a much tighter, smoother fabric. (Think of nice luggage.) * Read other reviews for assembly tips, but a bed will take about a half-hour to assemble. We bought two and the larger one was harder to assemble. It's that last corner that gets you. The rest of the assembly is very easy. Popping in the legs is super easy. For people interested about combining a Kuranda with a wire crate: * Bought the Small Kuranda Bed (20" X 30") and combined it with a wire crate for a great "bedroom" set. * Paired it with a Midwest Life Stages Folding Metal Dog Crate, Double Door, 30" X 21" X 24", Model #1630DD, also available on Amazon. A Small Kuranda bed fit inside JUST perfectly. About 1/4" to 1/2" wiggle room from bed to crate sides. * This Midwest crate is a bit taller than others, allowing for bed height while keeping a reasonable amount of headroom. About the usual amount of crate headroom now. * To insert the bed, you'll want to sneak the back panel past the wire clips to fold OUT. (Normally the panel folds IN for packing.) You may need someone with strong hands, or a get a washcloth and some pliers to gently ease the panel out. (Washcloth is to protect the wire.) Then pop the bed into the crate and reverse the process. It's not that difficult, but in hindsight, the three-door crate with a top door might have been nice. Especially if you want to travel with this setup. * Bed legs will rest on top of the crate pan edges, but the pan seems pretty sturdy and the weight is distributed. Don't expect any issues. * The crate pan still slides out for cleaning, even with the Kuranda bed inside. * Kuranda doesn't have their Crate Bed version listed on Amazon (yet anyway), however, contact Kuranda before placing your order and they will make arrangements to get you the shorter legs. We were able to buy through Amazon and use our Amazon Prime shipping. The Kuranda folks are great to deal with. * With the Crate Bed version you get both the shorter legs and the taller legs. This gives you the option to change out leg height later, if you want. Our 25 lb. dog is loving this new setup, especially with the warmer weather. Now he gets air circulation under and around him, keeping him cool and comfy. The bed is just the right length for him to fully stretch out. He's noticeably happier with his new bedroom. Also added these items to his new nest: * Midwest Quiet Time Deluxe Micro Terry Bed, Taupe (40630-TP, Medium) * Midwest Quiet Time Crate Cover, 30" X 19" X 21" (CVR-30). Through will hold off on the cover till it gets cooler. ... show more

  • Our dog loves it, that is what matters
Size: Large - 40" x 25" Color: Smoke
This is the 6th bed we have purchased in the nearly six months since we got our dog, a American Staffordshire Terrier mix that LOVES to destroy things. I had seen this style of bed before but was hesitant to get it since the dog spends most of the day in her crate. We leave a bed in there for her since it seems to prevent her from peeing in her crate and calms her down. All her beds to this point have been soft, pillow type. We figured since they were made of ripstop type material that they would be able to last with her. We were wrong! We take the dog to doggy daycare and they use Kuranda beds, although they have some of the older models where there are cutouts at the corners of the fabric. We finally decided to try one since she had torn through three beds in a matter of days (some stressful things happening, so it was understandable). It was more cost effective to get this than spending $20+ per bed. The year warranty also helps. The Setup: It is pretty straightforward with setting up, but there are some things I would like to see, mainly some protection around the metal parts and they should include a small screwdriver and wrench. Getting everything lined up was a bit of a hassle, especially working on my own. I recommend having an extra set of hands when putting it together. The Fit: The crate our dog uses in 42"x28" with a plastic tray bottom. We got the large bed, 40"x25" and it fits perfectly in the crate. We did remove the legs to drop the bed about 4" since it was affecting the dog being able to sit up properly in the crate. The bed is able to pull through the door, if necessary, which makes cleaning it easier. Our dog loves the bed and has not tried to chew on it (yet). I would definitely recommend spending the money for this bed if you have a dog that destroys other beds. It is worth the money that you will save and it is surprisingly comfortable for the dog. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: This bed has last longer than any other bed by far and she loves it. She had not once tried to tear into it at all. The only downside is the shed hair sticks to it and is not easily removed, even by a vacuum. I know Kuranda has replacement mesh which I might get just to have the spare. While it is expensive it also saves money on what you would spend on multiple beds as your dog tears through them. ... show more

  • Wrong color, but my dog loves the bed
Size: X-Large - 44" x 27" Color: Forest
The bed is very nice and sturdy. It doesn’t slouch any ware, very tight around the legs. Plan on ordering a second for our vacation cabin.

  • I have an American Bully pup, over 6months old. She absolutely loves it!
Bed is very slippery and bottom of feet. So not good for a "running and diving into" big puppy. Can really hurt themselves. We fastened her bed to the top and we got rubber caps for the feet, especially if on wood or tile floor. Rug should be no problem for feet. Very easy to clean! And chew proof? My Bully chews on everything but hasn't that yet! ... show more
