Top Amazon Reviews

  • Excellent monitor with minor software issue
Size: 32-inch Style: 4K 144Hz MiniLED
I wrote a very detailed review and naturally the Amazon app goes and crashes. I’ll try again, may keep it short and update afterwards… Packing was great 10/10. Provided cables and decent Provided colour certification is great. Comes with VESA mounting holes which I couldn’t see before Monitor runs at 3840x2160p @ 144hz using display port cable and 60hz for HDMI cable (limitation of my 2080 TI GPU) The colour looks a bit white/blue washed out and I had to use Windows HDR calibration to help with brightness adjustments which seems to have helped a little. The monitor menu is severely locked down (I can only adjust blackness levels and sharpness, all other colour settings are disabled. I can select the colour temperature and put it to warm (it still looks a bit on the blue/white side of things, even with this enabled, so I’ll see where this lands…) Edit: if you turn HDR off, you get most of the menu unlocked This also means I can’t select one of the Professional Modes the monitor is calibrated for. Edit: see above. I had to manually enable NVIDIA G-SYNC along with DDC/CI. I enabled local dimming - it seems to provide a more natural colour balance (?) . Edit: local dimming creates inverse blooming artifacts Overall, this screen made my eyes feel a little tired. I’m a software engineer, and I spend most of my time in front of computers / laptops … and I’m used to most of them… toning down the brightness helps a little but I’ll see where it lands after (hopefully) I get the menu unlocked… I have opened support tickets for two issues: 1) the monitor claims it is VESA HDR 1000 certified and windows 11 does not pick it up Edit: this seems to be a windows 11 issue, and/or that the monitor is only VESA 1.0 certified and that certification ended in 2020 2) the menu is locked down which defeats the entire point of being able to adjust things like brightness and selecting a professional mode. Edit: see previous notes about disabling HDR Knocking off a star for these issues until they are addressed. Update: 30 minutes into playing BG3 the monitor went into a reboot loop, unplugged & removed power it and let it sit for a while and tried again. DP connects, PC detects it briefly, monitor just says no signal and reboots. Swapped to HDMI, turns on and has a bunch of inconsistent backlighting spots even when no signal is present. Reached out to the Seller to request a replacement - I’m hoping this one was just a dud. The game HDR colours were beautiful for the bit it lasted. Edit: after doing a full factory reset as advised by their support, the monitor is working just fine. It’s been around 2 weeks of near daily use and haven’t run into this issue again yet. I run with HDR enabled, Local Dimming disabled (or on low if really needed) and have OverDrive set to standard (higher creates artefacts sometimes) Only remaining negative remark I’d call out is that you can’t actually change monitor selection if it’s bound to a connection already: I have a PC and a laptop, one connected with DP and the other with USB-C and while the menu allows choosing one manually, it doesn’t actually change. Minor issue, but worth noting. ... show more

  • Bright, easy to use controls
Size: 24-inch Style: FHD 165Hz IPS
I bought three different 24 inch, 165hz, IPS monitors to compare. The KTC H24T09P (this monitor), KOORUI 24E3, and the Lenovo G24-20. I really like the controls on this monitor being a joystick style located on the back, middle, bottom middle, so that adjacent displays interfere with using the controls. The controls were very easy to use and very quick to get to the most useful options, e.g. input, brightness and presets are top level menus. The Lenovo controls are difficult to use buttons on the right back while KOORUI is an easy to use joystick on back, right, bottom. The brightness at full is very nice since my monitors face a window, while the KOORUI was way to dim for me. However, the Lenovo had the highest brightness. For the price, this was the best monitor of the three, but I think that I prefer the image on the Lenovo just a little more. The frame on all three is very similar with a slightly wider frame on the KOORUI (about 1mm). They all have a black border set inside the frame which is about 3/16" while the frame is just 1/16". Viewing angles are good, but the Lenovo has better. The power supply on the KTC and KOORUI is an AC adapter brick that covers the outlet and may block the adjacent outlet on a power strip, while the Lenovo has a bulky PC power cord, but thankfully has no brick, since the AC adapter is built into the monitor. ... show more

  • Great after flashing usb update
Size: 27-inch Style: QHD 165Hz MiniLED
Prior to updating the software the hdr looked bad, the picture settings were locked down pretty much completely and it was stuck in 144hz after updating the monitor the hdr and local dimming were adjustable and i find it looks the best on auto especially when playing games as the shadows when moving have a ghost effect on standard and high. watching hdr content on youtube looks very nice and the contrast is sooo noticeable! there’s a little bit of blooming around highlights of some scenes if u watch oled content but it’s not distracting at all and adds a little shimmery effect on bright things. the picture settings in hdr are still completely locked down and you can’t turn the brightness down either. i’ve pretty much kept it in sdr mode as the local dimming is still usable, i would only use hdr during the day or in a bright room because it gets super bright! 165hz is also not an option in hdr either so you have to play at 144hz unless you switch to hdr mode. another thing i noticed that some other reviews mentioned were the kvm switches not really being usable. the usb c port wont display from my laptop but i can use my mouse that was plugged in and my pc that runs through display port doesn’t recognize the mouse. The kvm switches and not being able to use 165hz and turn the brightness down in hdr mode is the biggest con in my opinion. I wonder if there’s some way i could know if they do another update to fix that, at least being able to adjust the brightness in hdr might make me turn it on for good. Other than that the picture quality is beautiful and the contrast is next level. if your not used to mini led or oled this is a game changer and it’s exactly what your looking for in a high end display at a budget price. ... show more
