So far, I’m pretty impressed by this sunscreen. I’ve only worn it once for a couple hours so I can’t speak on what it’s like after a whole day, but it definitely feels more like skincare than sunscreen. I have VERY dry skin and have been trying to make the switch to mineral sunscreen. However, it usually strips my skin of all its moisture. That’s not the case at all with this product. If you suffer from dry skin, this would be a great option.

This mineral facial sunscreen reminds me a lot of TULA mineral sunscreen. They have the same SPF, about the same amount in the bottle, and priced the same. The TULA one is currently my favorite facial sunscreen and I have to say this is a close second. This has a semi thick white consistency, so make sure to rub and spread it out on your skin to make it disperse properly. Once you do that, it won't leave any white cast. There is no fragrance added but there is a very slight hint of a stinky smell, not sure which ingredient it is from, but a very, very light "smell". It goes away pretty quickly once you apply it on a skin, so it isn't anything un-tolerable. At first after you rubbed this onto your skin it will feel slightly oily but give it about 10-15 minutes to dry and absorb, after which your skin will not feel greasy but have a moisturized feeling. It doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable on the skin. This is a good face sunscreen to try - no white cast, doesn't feel heavy, non greasy (once absorbed), fragrance free, and reef safe! I work in an office all day and don't think too much about the sun on a daily basis, but my skin care professional pointed out how I have sun spots on the side of my face that is near my office window. The horror!!! Everyday sun screen is a must, even if you are mostly indoors. Lesson learned. This is an excellent daily sunscreen that goes on more like a lotion than a sunscreen. It does not leave my face with a white cast like some sunscreens do. It does not irritate my skin, or - and this is a biggie for me - my eyes. Most sunscreens irritate my eyes by the end of the day but this one does not. It goes on invisible and feels like nothing. And it provides excellent day to day sun protection in a convenient pump bottle and is cruelty free and reef safe to boot (not that I would choose this for swimming. I would use stronger/waterproof for those days).

I mainly only use sunscreen in the summer (despite what the experts say) I’m one of those people who think, “Oh, it’s not sunny, I don’t need it today” especially in winter. However, this Kopari Sunscreen is so moisturising, i may change my winter skincare habits. Up here in AK, our winters are harsh, and very dry, and our skin suffers, and we do get sunshine too. It makes sense to wear it then. The main thing i noticed about this particular sunscreen is how moisturising it is. It makes my skin feel plump and hydrated. As others have pointed out, it leaves a white residue, but i keep rubbing at it till it disappears. The white cast, kind of reminds me of the zinc cream i used to use on my kids tushy, when he got diaper rash lol. Only with that, you specifically left a thick white layer of it on. Ah, back in the olden days lol. I feel protected from the sun, when it makes it’s appearance (not too much recently) and i admit, that i am notoriously lazy about protecting my skin from sun damage, so i am feeling very virtuous, and as I’m 56, the damage is already done i think. Someone might think why would you bother at your age. Let me tell you, i have ONLY just started taking care of my skin. All my previous years were spent destroying it - partying, sunbathing, smoking - the whole shebang, and it was lucky if it got a lick of Oil Of Olay (It was Oil Of Ulay back then) Anyway, I’m happy with this product, i like how it makes my skin feel.

When putting this on my face it has a very unpleasant smell, which thankfully does not linger after a minute or two. What does linger, though, is the feeling of "product" on my face. I will use this as a body sunscreen (away from my nose!) but would not buy again as a facial sunscreen.
