Update: the replacement doll that was sent works perfectly!! My daughter absolutely loves soothing the doll to sleep. The facial movements, cries, giggles and breathing are very realistic. I took off one star because for some reason dark spots keep appearing on the head and face. I think it has something to do with the mechanical aspects seeping through the rubbery head. Was so excited to get this for my daughter for Christmas. I put batteries in and it made a little noise then nothing happened. Tried 9 different batteries and it never turned on. Sent it back and waiting on replacement, however now that I'm reading the numerous one star reviews, looks like this is common. Would have been a great doll if it actually worked. ... show more

I had this same baby growing up and I was obsessed with it. My 9 year old daughter wanted a baby doll that did specific things and it was a pain to find all the features in one baby. I know the struggle growing up because I wanted one that cried slept opened eyes and looked real. I ran across this baby doll and was shocked that it still existed. I purchased this doll after my daughter saw a friend receive one at a brithday and fell in love with it. Unfortunately for us both the first one I purchased and wrapper up for Christmas and the one we requested to replace that one did not work when we installed the batteries and tried to try turn them on.
