  • What a fun instrument to play!
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. The EWI Electronic woodwind has amazing features that make it fun for playersof all ages. It is small and stylish with closed finger holes to help produce and execute perfect notes. The EWI includes easy sax or flute fingering styles. The detachable silicone mouth covers help reduce teeth marks. Ten tones to choose from makes it sound like different instruments. Three kinds of breath sensitive features. Additional features: Reverb, built in speaker w volume control, wireless/wired MIDI, earphone interface, 3 octave range and USB/DC 5V/1A A great addition to your collection! ... show more

  • It depends on the level you are starting with.

Sound like a toy for starters, the value matches that.

  • It works! It is fun!
Color: DC02W
I am a retired music teacher. I tested most of the features and they work. It was not easy to keep my hands and fingers in the best position so I made a couple of modifications. In the photo you will see I added a thumb "hook" for the right hand which helps to hold it and allows me to play notes quicker. The blue tape helps to locate my left thumb. I also added self-stick buttons on the keys to make them easier to find. There is too much delay with Bluetooth so it is useless. I tested it with an accurate tuner and it plays in tune. Midi works with a sound module and with midi software. The ten sounds are not realistic but they are not offensive. I like the flute sound the best. A breath vibrato is easy to achieve as is the control of loud and soft dynamics. There is no pitch bend. The speaker is ok but the sound improves when used with an external amplifier. I do not have a high end device to compare it to but for the money it is good. As someone else mentioned, the “save” button to save settings is not indicated anywhere. It would be handy to have. ... show more

  • A bit confusing for a beginner but I like it
Color: Black
I bought this Electronic Wind Instrument plus the book “it’s recorder time.” The fingerings on the tiny slip of paper that came with the instrument use the European names for the notes. It wasn’t hard to translate most of it although the number next to the European names still confuses me. I think I figured out that the lowest note is G and it goes up to F. The fingerings on this slip of paper were nothing like shown in the book. I penciled in my best guess, in case I’m completely wrong, and can now play a few ultra simple songs. I love being able to use headphones plus not being tethered to my phone or a PC. Tone 10 is recorder and is the only one I use for now. I did add a small 3M hook on the back to support my right thumb. I’ll be watching a lot of Sarah Jeffers YouTube videos now. ... show more

  • Surprisingly great
Color: DC02W
I've played the flute on and off for about 20 years, since middle school, then moved to an apartment with thin walls. Bring able to play with headphones is a dream come true. The breath control is surprisingly responsive (controls the volume, but does *not* pick up vibrato, and flutter tongue is out of the question). I've only had it for a week but the flute fingering is surprisingly intuitive and responsive. Not a 1-1 match with flute fingering, but it's easy enough to pick up after reading the fingering chart and fiddling around a bit. It's not exactly an Akai or Yamaha but for $100 (I paid $90), it's absolutely worth it. ... show more

  • Great for kids and adults!!!!
Color: Black
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this instrument and the ability to play it within minutes of receiving it in the mail!!! Most of the sounds/voices included with the Konix Digital Wind Instrument can easily feed the desires of your imagination. I'm not a techie by any means, but the initial ease of use of this relatively inexpensive instrument has me thinking about who in the family might get this in their holiday gifts. FUN DAYS AHEAD! • Not quite a toy and not quite a professional instrument.
Color: Black
This is pretty easy to understand and work with. But there are some limitations. I am not a flute player but it's something I want to learn and this uses flute or sax fingering. It's fun playing this and in time I expect I will be able to make some good music with it. The MIDI option is a big plus and I may use the Bluetooth option at some point. The built-in reverb is very good, but some of the voices are a bit cheesy. The built in speaker is fairly loud if you want it to be. I used the headphone jack to plug into an echo unit and a guitar amp. ALWAYS turn the instrument volume down to it's lowest setting (which is one) so you don't hurt your equipment doing this. Using the echo with a loud amp was much more fund than I had expected. The only complaint I have is that the finger holes are not holes but shallow indentations. It can be hard to keep track of where your fingers are to play well. Practice will help, but I would like the edges to be easier to feel. [Update 12/4/23 After watching some videos for the Vangoa EWI-100 I realized that this product is not quite the same. This one has indentations for the fingering where as an actual Vangoa EWI-100 has what appear to be metal pads. The Vangoa EWI-100 is more expensive, but may be easier to play. There may be other differences but I am not aware of any at this point. Given that the Vangoa EWI-100 is not that much more I would have opted for that had I known they were not the same. And because of this I have changed my 4 star rating to 3.] ... show more
