Obsessed. Recently had mouth surgery and dental work done and needed to drink my coffee through a straw to assure it didn't stain; and all teeth stayed cohesive in color. I have tried several different kinds of silicon straws throughout this annoying, and humbling process. These by far are my favorite for coffee or anything hot. The short straws fit perfectly into just about any standard small to medium coffee cup or travel mug. However, if you are like me and a total nightmare with anything less than two cups of coffee before human civilization, you may want to get the larger/longer straw. Once you get to the bottom of your 16oz+ travel mug you will grow frustrate having to move and navigate your straw to get to the bottom of that much needed crack. I would also say if you are looking for a universal straw for protection from all pesky colored liquids this is not your straw. Albeit perfect for coffee, and tea- really anything hot, if you are looking to throw back a gulp, like your reliving your college glory days at the bar consider another brand. The opening of these is very slim and narrow, so, you really gotta get some suction going to get a generous sip. I don't find this annoying or a hindrance in getting my morning crack. However, for other cold drinks or carbonated soda etc. it's not quite as satisfying. Overall highly recommend, have purchased two orders of the small and will be back to purchase the larger version to help feed my coffee addiction. Lastly, to address the price point. I think that these are a bit pricey. However, comparatively the quality and thought of function is worth the price alone to the others; but in addition to that they also provide a cleaner that's basically a customized miracle worker. No more holding up your reusable straw and staring down in them like a pirate looking for booty, use the cleaner and you will feel confident sipping even after the most rank person.

After I learned about the amount of plastic floating in our oceans and polluting the environment, I knew I had to start making wiser choices and ditch as much plastic as possible from my daily use. I have reusable straws but they’re too big or bulky for my coffee mug. I figured there had to be reusable straws made specfically for hot coffee and the Koffiestraw is exactly that. It fits perfectly in my mug and the flattened shape prevents it from moving all over the place. It’s easy to clean, no odd taste or odor, and prevents coffee stains. I highly recommend this product!

I wanted so bad to like this straw. I got it for to go cups of coffee, as I need a straw to drink after brain surgery. The straw is 'thinner' than others, so you get a bit less liquid in your mouth. since we're drinking hot coffee, I certainly don't consider that a drawback. That being said, the part that goes into your mouth is SUPER short. Like half or 1/3 of a regular straw. I had a lot of trouble getting it to stay in my mouth. I really wish it was longer.

I recently got braces (as an adult), and wanted to make them as inconspicuous as possible. So I got the clear braces and the clear rubber bands. But I'm also a big coffee drinker, and read that coffee would stain the brackets and rubber bands. So I ordered these little Koffie Straws, and they've helped so much! I hadn't had an issue with staining brackets yet (that I noticed), but it's definitely stopped turning my rubber bands brown. I can only imagine what I was doing to my teeth all these years, if that's what coffee was doing to my rubber bands... I'm excited to keep using these once I get the braces off, to keep my teeth whiter than they were before. And it's super handy that I can use them with to-go cups/lids because of the shape of the straw.

This straw doesn’t work for me. I am not a coffee drinker, but wanted to use the straw for my Tervis stainless tumbler to drink Diet Coke, because the lid has a small slit, not enough room for a regular straw. Was the item as described? Yes. I bought the wrong product. Getting the soda through the straw was like drinking a very thick milkshake. It did not make drinking the soda pleasant and my mouth felt like it was full of only bubble, no flavor.

I love that we have these great, reusable straws that are cutting down on one-use straws that are so bad for the environment. And these...? You can burn them and their ash is biodegradable! How freaking cool is that?! They should make all of them that way! However....the reason my rating is 3 stars is because cool factor does not outweigh practicality and usability. I do use these because I bought them and I don't like wasting my money. The theory behind the flat design makes sense but I realize now that I definitely prefer a round straw, especially drinking water. I drink more when I have a straw, as strange as it sounds, but my intake went down trying to suck it up through this flat straw. It was like trying to suck up a thick smoothie (so I wouldn't even attempt using these with a smoothie). I'll probably continue using one for my coffee but I'm going to keep shopping for a round one for my water & smoothie needs.

I wanted to love this straws, BUT!... The first time I sipped from this straw my regular temperature coffee, not too hot - I received a severe burn of the roof of my mouth the skin peeled off immediately after - It's been 2 weeks since I am recovering from my burn - I can not eat anything, nor drink, unless it is liquid of a room temperature/soup broth and it is very painful, it still hurts even if I don't drink anything. Today my scab fell off and it's healing again... Be advised, don't sip from it, unless it is COLD liquid, or if you like burns,wounds and pain for extended time....I have returned it immediately, of course.

If you like letting your coffee cool down considerably before drinking it, you might like these straws. If you've ever tried drinking fresh, hot coffee from those small plastic stirring straws, then you'll understand how these feel to drink from. Same tongue burning effect. Only way I could see these being nice to drink from is if they were thin enough and long enough to cool the coffee below scalding temperatures before it reached your mouth.
