Didn't like that they are rather soft and flexible. But wife likes them and prefers them over the hard straws. So we have to keep the wife happy. Happy wife, happy life. They are dishwasher safe if you need to put them into the dishwasher. The brush works find for me. Get some nice colors and a good number of straws. And these are far better than metal straws. Hard on your teeth. terrible clanking inside the mug. So silicone straws are good.

Since I would rather sip my soda than drink it in great gulps, I wanted to get some straws. But I really didn't want to get the usual plastic or paper straws, as I consider both wasteful. I found these, and they seemed to be just what I wanted, so I tried them out. And they are. They are flexible, long enough to reach the bottom of a half liter bottle of soda, To clean them just run some hot water through them. If for some reason they need more cleaning than that, a small brush is included that will thoroughly clean the insides. I only needed a couple, so I gave the rest to my son's family. They were delighted with them since they share my concerns about disposable things like straws. To sum up: They work great, will last forever, and let you feel good about not contributing to plastic waste. Oh, and they are BPA free, so no worries there either. Okay, I've had these for a year and a half, and I still think they are wonderful. What I really like is the slanted bottom lets my suck up every last drop in the can/bottle. No more last few drops left in the bottom!
