  • The shoe for which you must buy two!..
...It is the only sensible thing to do! Okay, there are shoes, and then there are shoes you wear Every.Single.Day! Summer to Winter. Indoor and Outdoor. I had to buy these grays because I loved my black pair so much! Then, I wanted another black pair, but they were out of stock so I had to by navy. I am disabled due to massive back degeneration so these shoes help with back, leg, and foot pain. Wear with or without socks! Comfortable, supportive, and fairly priced. Also, dang near indestructable! My mom has a pair, too. Only after 1.5 years have my origional pair started wearing down- slightly. Excellent slippers don't even last 3 months these days! Remember- 365 day use. No exageration! Heck, I rather not do a review out of sheer selfishness. But, Christian is as Christian does. So, repeat after me "one pair for you (Christmas gift), and two for me! That's the way it ought'a be." Enjoy! ... show more

  • Excellent slippers! Provides great support and comfort, relieves foot pain.
My feet were in incredible pain. The area where the bottom of my legs meet the top of my feet, right at the bend, felt like I had no cushion or left. My ankles felt like they were coming apart. The days of wearing flat, non-supporting house slippers was OVER. In desperation, I scoured Amazon for the right pair that would rescue me. I where these types if slippers in the hoise, wbicj is a lot more these days since work at home. Normally, I had a $5 rule when it came to slippers. I tried not to spend more than $5. But these slippers are worth every penny. I am a currently heavy person - 300lbs (something I am working to change). The excess weight is hard on my feet. My joints and bottom of my feet finally couldn't take it any more. I suffered burning pain, even when sitting. Once I started wearing these well supported slippers, immediately the various types of pain in my feet and ankles significantly reduced to the point that I don't feel like I am walking bone on bone anhmore in a sense with no lift or support. The cushion in these shoes are fantastic. They hold up to my weight and almost push back, refusing to be crushed or flattened. Its like walking with gentle pillows or massaging bubbles in my slippers. Not too firm that it is annoying but enough to take off the shock of each step and really soothe the feet. Included in this experience is great arch support. I am no longer in pain. I love these slippers. I bragged to my husband about them. I even want them in another color! ... show more

  • My favorite sandle/flop for high arches
Let me start this review for the tan colored version. Review of the kocota overall below. Something is off about the tan version, I tried 2 pair and they seem smaller then all the previous ones I've bought. The EVA material also feels way stiffer to be almost uncomfortable. So buyer be aware of this for the tan version. Kocota overall; I really like these sandels. They are my favorite and I have tried several pairs the oofos (too soft) and hoka recovery(don't fit right for me). I have this kocota in almost every color and several pairs of some colors when they go on sale. I keep some as indoor slippers and some as outdoor every day use. I have long and narrow feet and pretty high arches and these have been the one pair of any shoe to help with any foot, leg or back pain. I even went to Disney and Universal a couple years ago and couldn't handle my shoes after 6 days into both parks. I actually wore a pair of black kocota and they instantly relieved my foot pain. So they have been amazing for walking and being on my feet for long periods. They're decent looking and super easy to clean with water or a clorox wipe. Only downsides are I've worn so much I've started getting lovely band style tan marks. Also the traction and slip could be improved. I've found that after a short time the tread wears flat and you can easily slide when wet or slick. This was the only downside to wear them for 2 days in universal, had to watch my step near water rides or rain. ... show more

  • Good support, fine construction, will take getting used-to.
The fit on the left side, pinches the small toe. I do like the orthotic support, yet it will take time to absorb the impact on my knee, which is why I got these in the first place--my right foot tends to pronate inwardly, putting pressure on my knee. I do a lot of stretching, so over time this should correct some of that. It is getting a little warmer where I live, I noticed they do provide air flow on the insole and sides, which helps, but I still find I need socks to absorb moisture and reduce slipping. I tend NOT to wear slides or flip flops when outside and driving (risk of injury is too high) so I will mostly wear indoors. The product came packaged well and protected. ... show more

  • This shoe shrinks, changes to smaller size, when exposed to sun, then cold
I loved this pair of shoes; I had looked long and hard for a pair that fit my large foot. I ordered the correct size--in fact, the shoes fit large enough to wear socks with them in the fall/winter. I wore the shoes indoors and in/out for brief yard trips, very satisfied. Then two weeks ago (after the return date had expired!) I wore them outside on a very hot day when I stood for a long time in the sun. When I came home, I left the shoes at the door because they were dirty. They stayed outside in the cool night on my covered front porch. In the morning, to my surprise, the shoes were so small, width and length, that I could barely get them on. Even after I soaked them in water, they will not return to their regular size. My foot now hangs off the back of the shoe and is so narrow, my feet hurt wearing them. They should come with a warning if this is a regular result of sun, then cool. I am really disappointed that I got to wear them only briefly and now am out my time and money. I'll have to begin looking again! ... show more
