I really like this chef's jacket. I am not a chef, but I think this is fantastic for a messy home cook. I prefer a chef's coat instead of an apron, as it keeps you much cleaner. Based on the sizing chart, I thought this might be a bit too big for me. It's actually perfect since you wear it over other clothing that can be bulky; this still allows for the full radius of your arms/shoulders. I typically wear a size medium. I'm a size 34DD / 40-inch chest, and this medium fits great with just a bit of space for a sweater to fit underneath, but it is still flattering over just a t-shirt. Order your usual size, and it will be good. The fabric is a nice mix of cotton and synthetic, comfortable like cotton but synthetic enough that it repels a bit of water.
