  • Takes a while to get used to them

  • Good but
Color: Black-clear Magnification Strength: 2.5 x
I really wanted a pair of progressive, computer blue, photo darkening cheap pair of glasses. They also must be inexpensive. I found it here. Is it to my satisfaction? Yes and No. The glasses are attractive. The frame is minimal but it does work. I do like the frame. However, the bridge over the nose does block peripheral vision to some degree. I see it all blurred, it is not large but it is there. The lens do darken in the sun. I really like that feature. They become light indoors. Now for the disappointment. I see far better with my naked eyes than when looking thru the very top of the lens. But.. I can look over the lens. This is for far vision. They do help when working with a computer screen. I had to get used to moving my head to get to the sweet spot of focus. Overall, they do help. They do take some time to get used to using them. I think there is a very narrow focus window. Moving left or right is very critical. They do come in a very nice case. ... show more

  • Progressive glasses
Color: Black-clear Magnification Strength: 2.5 x
I really enjoy them. It is nice not looking up over bifocals that I use for reading and can wear them all the time that the upper half are clear glass. I bought a second pair for emergency.

  • GREAT CONCEPT--3-stars Due to Neutrals & Cons for Overall, but There Are Workarounds
Color: Black-clear Magnification Strength: 1.0 x
I really want to love these glasses, but I am struggling for that wish. I am impressed with the concept of computer distance and reader distance, as it is annoying to look at computer; then have to switch to readers to look at close work and back/forth like that to complete many computer projects; therefore these could be convenient, at some levels, without the following notes: Positives, Neutrals, a Note, and Cons. POSITIVES: --Fit well, minimal legs and wireless rims seem fashionable, and although they feel somewhat flimsy, I had feared these may be as flimsy as wire-rimmed readers from a dollar store. However, knowing these are titanium would indicate to me that they are not fragile. --No line or rectangle for the double vision --Excellent reader—i.e. As good as my prescription reading glasses --Excellent computer distance (except white pages look grey--see note below) --Although I only want for computer work, I did test outside in sunshine, and they do tint quickly. NEUTRALS: --Was able to put on and use almost instantly. It did not take long to find the spot placed on my nose to be able to switch seeing between computer distance and reader distance. The neutral is having to drop the glasses down on my nose to get the right spot to be able to use the 2 lenses—I'm neutral about that, but it shouldn't have to be worn that way. (My regular glasses are triple progressive, so am familiar with finding the “right” line for each of the lens' strengths. However, the middle distance on my prescription triples don't work well for the computer—ie. I can see the computer better without the triple progressives, which put me back to alternating between no glasses for computer and switch to readers, back/forth for computer/desk work.) --What I am having trouble getting used to is that the white page on the computer looks grey which could either be the filter for blue light or that these are a type of plastic lens. NOTE: I can see the computer better with my naked eye because these lenses make the white page appear grey. I am able to drop down on my nose to look over the glasses to see the computer better without the grey page appearance; however, the reader part is also making paper look grey, but paler up close than the distance to the computer--like a dollar store reader lens. (I do realize the resin lens these progressives have is a lighter weight than most polycarb lenses.) CONS: --These do not have spring hinges as described; however, the legs are flexible and springy. --Frames fit well, except nose bridge is a bit wide between the mounts and are in the visual field--perhaps that is the design of a rimless frame(?). –I have to drop down on my nose to get the right line to switch from computer to reader; otherwise, if placed correctly, I have to tip my neck back to find the reader lens part. (My neck vertebra curves forward due to having twisted a vertebra and bad scoliosis, so tipping my neck back is not an option for me.) Perhaps this may not be annoying to others(?). For myself I would give 4-stars since I can work around the neutrals and greys; however, overall and helpful to others, I give 3-stars. ... show more

  • Amazing eyeglasses at an incredible price. I can't imagine what these would cost in a store.
Color: Black-clear Magnification Strength: 2.0 x
There is so much I could say about these great progressive reading glasses. They're totally impressive, and a truly incredible value. I can only imagine what these would have cost at a retail store. First, they have a rimless design. That means that there is effectively NO frame! The temples and bridge are bolted onto the lenses directly. The temples are so incredibly thin, that these glasses become light as a feather. It's truly like wearing no glasses, at all. The frames have adjustable, floating-type nose pads... extremely comfortable. Temples have a plastic grip area on the ends where they sit on your ears. Now for the lenses... superb! These are progressive bifocals, with reading glass lens on the bottom section, gradually becoming "plano", or no prescription, at the top. In the center is the area where you would use the computer, and as you go to the bottom, where you would read. All of this, and on top of it you get blue-light blocking lenses. These protect you as you work on the computer and in artificial light. Super eyeglasses, light as a can be, and very stylish and good looking. A tremendous value, to be sure. ... show more

  • Progressive readers, shifts everything up, nose piece not bent correctly, darkens some in sunlight
Color: Black-clear Magnification Strength: 2.0 x
These are lightweight with a flexible frame. On the set I received the nose piece is not bent correctly. They do come with a good case & cleaning cloth. These have a progressive magnification with none at the very top to the max at the lowest part. This works well for reading at a specific distance through a thin band of the glasses once you find the in focus spot. When you first put these on you will notice everything shifts up. Also if you move your head around you will see that everything distorts & I could see making some people dizzy. I would not drive with these (not like you should with any readers!). When working on my computer setup with dual monitors I am constantly needing to move my head forward/back & angle up & down. Even straight on only the center is in focus. As you look toward the sides the more out of focus the image is. For example typing in the review box here the center is in focus & is slightly out of focus on the sides of the box. The far sides of the screen is much more blurry. They do darken some in sunlight. Takes a few minutes to fully darken & takes about 10 - 15 minutes to return to 100% clear when back indoors. They are lightweight so I don't fund them uncomfortable & the frame is very felxable. ... show more
