Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviews for the Kirkland Margarita Mixer present a mix of opinions, highlighting both its high quality and certain drawbacks compared to other products or versions. Reviewers appreciate its convenience and flavor, especially praising its use of real lime juice. However, some find it too sweet and prefer the non-organic version or suggest diluting it to suit personal taste.

Pros

  • 🍹 Made with real lime juice and considered high quality by many users
  • 💰 Exceptionally priced when purchased from Costco
  • 👍 Holds well against more expensive brands and is versatile enough to be diluted for a less sweet taste
  • 📦 Availability on Amazon offers access to those who can't buy it at Costco

Cons

  • 🍬 Some users find it too sweet and prefer it to be diluted
  • 💸 Significantly more expensive on Amazon compared to Costco prices
  • 🔄 Some users miss the original non-organic version and find this product lacking in comparison
  • ❄️ Requires refrigeration after opening to avoid spoilage

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a conveniently pre-made margarita mix that prioritizes quality ingredients like real lime juice, this is a strong contender. It's especially worth considering if you can purchase it at Costco to take advantage of the better pricing. However, if you have a particular taste preference or are seeking the least sweet option, you may want to sample it first or be prepared to dilute it. Overall, it's a good buy for those in search of an easy, tasty margarita mix.

  • Please go back to the original "non-organic" version.
Not as good as the original Non-Organic version we had been using for years.

  • The Best Margarita Mixer
I would always stock up on these when my local Costco had them, but it was forever since I last saw them there (they seemed to always stock the horrible margarita-flavored wine "mixer"), and I found these here when my local grocery store was completely out of even inferior mixers during stay-at-home. I had forgotten just how good this mixer is, and yes, there is a premium charged here compared to what it had sold for in Costco, but I hadn't been able to get it at my local one, and it's just a buck or two more per bottle than what my local store charges for an inferior product. I am very happy. Purchased from zerbert these are exactly the bottles as I last saw them when available at my Costco--not the long-neck bottle seen in the picture but the more recent milk bottle shape. And I did get two 1.75L bottles exactly as specified! Great stuff. ... show more

  • The best margarita mix
I am a bit of a margarita snob, so when I tell you that this is the best, you can put some credence in that statement! I've tried many others and this one is smoother than the Cuervo mix, more flavorful than the Organic Lime mix, and less sweet than the Margaritaville mix (which is my second favorite). Being a Costco product the price is exceptional. The only way to get a better mix is to make it myself, and that ends up being much more expensive. Just three parts mix to one part tequila (I recommend a reposada), blend with ice or add cubes, and you may not even feel like salting the rim of the glass. ... show more

  • Reliably good, but not excellent
I tried this as a substitute in stead of a jalapeno limeade from Trader Joe's that is only offered seasonally. the Kirkland margarita mix is good, but a little sweet. I use this primarily to make my own version of a margarita, in conjunction with mezcal and other margarita mixes that offer a bit more flavor and bite. The good thing is that the Kirkland mix can and, for my tastes, should be watered down considerably by as much as 50:50 to decrease the sweetness. I also add my own chili lime seasoning to taste to give it that kick. The Trader Joe's jalapeno limeade is definitely superior in ingredients, flavor, and kick without the overt sweetness. The Kirkland mix can also be diluted for a nice virgin lemon/limeade drink. ... show more

  • My Sour mix of Choice.
I love this mixer especially for Margaritas. I feel very strongly that all mixers are not created equal. This is made with real lime juice and is excellent. It is a seasonal item at Costco and it is very reasonably priced ... there. If you have to buy it on Amazon you will likely pay 2-4x as much. But it's worth it. Be careful and refrigerate it as it can spoil easily. ... show more

  • Best Margarita mix on the market IMO but Amazon's price is too high
Best Margarita mix on the market IMO but Amazon's price is too high. I give the mix a 5 star rating, but Amazon gets 3 stars for overcharging (but at least they carry it.) So 4 stars altogether
