All other chairs I tried for backpacking were so close to the ground and almost impossible for a tall person to get out of, especially after the knees get sore. This chair is easy to put together and take apart, but the shining star of this chair is its comfort. The height of the seat, the angle of the back and seat are all adjusted for optimal comfort. Wide enough everywhere for a hefty fella. The arms are a sweet bonus, just right, and the cup holder is handy. Nice folded size for packing, only a few ounces more than the ones for acrobatic midgets, who like to sit about 4 inches off the ground. Comfort is even better than conventional camp chairs, but this folds small, is light and VERY durable, sturdy, and affordable.     • Lots of good, just not great
These chairs have a lot of good features. They pack down small enough to bring anywhere (or just leave in the car at all times). They assemble and knock down pretty easily and quickly. And they’re relatively comfortable. We’ve been using them all summer…camping, at kids sporting events, at backyard parties. They have held up pretty well, except one of the black plastic feet on 1 chair has broken so that the metal leg now sits directly on the ground. The reasons I say they aren’t great: the chairs are a bit wobbly. Not terrible for us, but for someone who doesn’t have good balance, it might be a problem. The chairs are also a bit narrow in the seat. I’m not big, 5-10 and 190lbs, but my hips feel squished when sitting, and I can’t sit for too long without having to get up due to discomfort. All in all, we’re pleased with our purchase, since these are relatively comfortable and take up way less room than our old chairs. But I wish they would figure out the comfort in the hips a bit better. ... show more

Superior quality in my limited opinion especially because they are so light weight and easy to set up. But maybe a bit of a strain to pull the fabric onto the frame.

    • Very comfortable for this style chair
I have had another brand of this style of collapsible chair with out the arm rest. This is by far a sturdier construction with the all aluminum components. The arm rest are amazing, after having one without.

This had all of the features we were looking for! I purchased this for my boyfriend to bring on his kayak. The wide feet feature is great for sitting on sand/clay at the shore. Boyfriend wanted a high back and arm rests, this has it! It was moderately difficult putting it together for the first time, but we realized you can’t be gentle when putting the fabric over the poles. I bought these chairs to hopefully keep in our camper. I like the small size when unassembled in the bag. However, they are also small in size when assembled. There were no instructions so it took some time and 2 of us to figure out how to put the chair together. My husband took one look and said he wouldn't sit in it no matter what the weight limit is. I did sit in it but the seat was so narrow it was apparent it would not be comfortable for any length of time. If you're under 5'4" and less than 100 pounds, the chair will work for you, but not for us 6' tall and up and on the fluffy side giants.     • Good camp chair - hard to set up.
It is a comfortable chair and seems to be quite sturdy. Time will tell as I've only used them once. The aluminum frame goes together quite well though it is a bit tricky getting all the support rods into their proper attachment points. The problem arises when you are trying to slip the pockets on the fabric portion of the chair onto their respective rods. It is a tight stretch to get the pocket over the rod and the pocket is vinyl and it collapses before it slips over the support rod. As it is you need three hands to set it up. One to stretch the fabric, one to hold the rod firmly and one to open the pocket and guide it onto the rod. Hopefully, it will get easier over time. ... show more
