I will be taking the KingsGuard 70L hiking backpack on an upcoming overnight trip, and I'm fairly confident that it will impress me in almost every way. The capacity is more than enough to hold a two-person tent, clothes, food, a cook system, and still leave room for a few trail luxuries. The front compartment easily fits my sleeping bag and pillow, making it simple to access when I set up camp. The built-in rain fly compartment at the bottom of the pack is super convenient for storing the rain fly and keeping my rain gear protected and easily reachable. The compartments are well designed to help me organize my gear without constantly digging through the main section. The straps and padding are thick enough to keep me comfortable even while the pack is fully loaded, and the weight distribution should make carrying heavy gear feel balanced. The hip pockets will be perfect for trail snacks and a small first aid kit. I expect the material to hold up well against rough trails and some rain. The zippers and buckles feel sturdy and reliable, giving me confidence on the trail. The only minor downside is that at full capacity it may feel a little bulky in tighter spaces, but that is expected with a large pack like this. Also, my whistle doesn't work but that's a novelty anyways so I'm not worried. Overall, the KingsGuard 70L offers excellent value for the price, and it will be a solid choice for long day hikes, overnight backpacking, and camping trips. I will definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable, well-organized backpack for extended outdoor adventures and doesn't want to spend hundreds of dollars while starting out. ... show more

Let me talk about a few points. The form and fit wasn't bad but wasn't good either. I'm 6'2" and the straps were almost maxed out once I found a comfortable fit. Where they attach to the pack near my neck was a bit narrow so the straps would rub occasionally on my neck if the chest strap was too tight. Also, the straps themselves would turn outward due to the way it sat putting all the weight on the edge of the strap rather than the broad face of it. Got uncomfortable after 30 or so miles. Once I cinched up the waist it took most of that load. The use of waist belt triglides to keep it snug is a genius design point! I usually have to keep cinching the belt through my hike. I think I had to do it maybe twice the whole week I was out and that was because my waist was shrinking. The side webbing pouches are big enough for a smart water bottle and something small even when the pack is fully loaded. Perfect for my set up. The rear pouch (vertical zipper) was really only good for small flat objects like a folded up map. With the pack fully loaded it's more of a wish than anything else. The shoe compartment is...an okay idea in my opinion. I don't really have a use for it and might actually cut out the extra material to save some weight. The waist belt compartments were useful for stowing electrolyte packs and some small tools The top pouches are okay. Nothing special. Not the most spacious but still useful for things like snacks and other quick go-tos while you're on the trail. Didn't have a use for the rain cover but I had the pack stuffed full and was still able to wrap it around with little effort. The trekking pole holders are a nice touch. Nothing special but still useful. I added some extras, a couple molle pouches on the side using the cinch straps to hand them from. They weren't 100% secure and would slide back and forth but they made it the whole trip with no issues. All in all it was absolutely worth the cost and is a great value! ... show more

Was not expecting much from this pack as I've had much more expensive packs before. However, I will say, for the budget, it was pretty solid! My only complaint was the hip belt was harder to tighten once loaded, but it stayed in place REALLY WELL throughout the day. Guess that's a fair trade off to being able to make minor adjustments throughout the day. It does sit close to your back, and has not stiffness to spine - ultimately I didn't mind on the trip, but just a heads up if that's what your wanting/used to in a multi-day pack. Pretty light weight, and will definitely be using it for future trips. ... show more

I'm an avid hiker and needed something durable that could carry weight and yet sit light on my shoulders. This has been great as the weight sits on my waist making climbing easier. Due to its capacity I am able to fit in a lot of essentials for long hikes. Its a pleasure to carry it.

I haven't had much of a chance to stress test this, but so far it seems great. It's really lightweight and appears to be made out of quality materials. I wish it had a few more external pockets, but It's understandable for the price. I was going to leave a 4 star review because I thought that the rain cover that was supposed to be included and been forgotten, but I found a semi-hidden pocket on the bottom with a tag that says "rain cover" and it was in there, so If anyone else can't find theirs, check there. I know I've seen some other reviews of people who said they were unable to find it. The space inside is adequate for around 3-4 days of hiking/camping. I was a bit skeptical of the frameless aspect of this pack, but now that I have it loaded up with gear it's actually quite comfortable. I cannot comment on the quality of the stitching until after I have used it for a few trips, but it seems like the seams will be fine, there's no obvious loose strings anywhere anyway. ... show more

Decent pack at an attractive price but not very robust parts. Fasteners broke on first use; needs improvement. Also, straps but no attachment buckles on the bottom to hold sleeping bag.
