Do not mistake what the Kindle Scribe is supposed to be. It is an eReader and a note taking tool. It is not supposed to be anything more than that and thats exactly what it is. I love to read and learn. The kindle scribe helps with both. Once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to use! I can take thousands of books with me anywhere I go. It's not a small device but it's far smaller than carrying around a book or a notebook. It's super slim and sleek. The battery seems to last forever. Weeks or months at a time depending on use. It takes usb-c making it convenient to charge and doesn't take long to charge. I can take it into a meeting or church and easily take notes. I have the leather case for it and it has survived several falls from the back of a couch without taking any damage. Its pricy, but it's worth the money spent! I bought the upgraded pen too and it feels like writing on a piece of paper with a pen. It's lovely. The different writing options (pen, marker, calligraphy pen, pencil, etc.) Are amazing and a lot of fun to play with. It's incredibly easy to export your notebooks in PDF form and shoot them to your email. I've use the feature several times and it's incredibly convenient and user friendly. Also there's plenty of free books on the book store which you can buy directly on the Scribe. Freebooksy is a website that'll send you an email almost daily with some of the free books. I think my favorite feature is being able to press and hold on a word in a book and it'll pull the definition up. No more looking up words or not understanding something because I'm too lazy to look it up. The pen will stick to the side of it magnetically but I'd highly recommend getting a case that'll hold it because it's a magnet it's not super glue. If you don't keep good track of your pen you will lose it. Also I'll say that my original upgraded pen did not work. It would write when the pen was just being held above the surface of the kindle. I tried every fix I could think of and couldn't get it to work. I spoke to amazon customer service through the app and they replaced it free of charge without any hassle! The upgraded pen is also worth the money solely because of the erasing feature. It's far more convenient than switching writing methods to the eraser setting. ... show more

The kindle scribe really felt like a milestone. In my opinion, kindle is one of the best reading devices ever created. First it is incredibly compact and light, making it a very convenient as a on the go Reader. Also its screen made so that it mimics reading from paper rather than reading on a screen. The thing about the Kindle scribe is that you can also use it to draw and write. I liked the feeling of writing on this so much that I almost don't use paper and pencil any more for jotting down my thoughts and ideas. My only complaint that I hoped that the battery life would be slightly longer when you use it to write, also I hope that there will be more features in the future that will transform the kindle scribe into a writing and drawing powerhouse. From the software updates Amazon has been releasing, I think that this will soon be able to rival the reMarkable 2 writing tablet. Keep up the good work. ... show more
