I am a book person, but the ability to download books and my rural location made this Kindle something I had to try. I am enjoying this immensely. With the case it is easy to hold. I LOVE the fact I can adjust brightness, font, boldness, etc. The battery life is impressive as I sit and read a couple hours at a time and it can go many days without charging. My only frustration is working the touch screen. Sometimes when I hit the right border it skips multiple pages, sometimes an entire chapter so i have to hunt for where I was. That is most likely operator error, so take it with a grain of salt. To have the ability to carry multiple books in a small compact unit is worth it to me. Been wanting a kindle for the longest time. I thought I needed to look at all the different models and keep comparing and contrasting and get rid of ads, etc. But really the ads don't even bother me since its only at the home page, basically its only there when the kindle is locked and you can swipe it away. I got it on sale, so the price was perfect. It wasn't too crazy and I didn't need to get anything fancy to read on the plane or train or at the park.
