I got this kindle kids for me about a month ago, because I wanted the black one and the regular version was out of stock. So far I am loving it! It's lightweight, fits any purse, easy to learn how to use. As English is my second language, I like the feature kindle has to search for the meaning of a word just clicking on it. Although I purchased the Kindle for me, I've been using the one year Amazon kids subscription that comes with it to read books for my girls. We are loving this reading time. Another plus is the 2 years warranty for free that the regular version doesn't have. The case included is cute, but in less than a month it started peeling. Good thing is that Amazon has an amazing costumer service. Having kids, I recommend buying this version for yourself because of all the perks that comes for just $20 extra bucks ... show more

This is the best kindle to buy in 2023. I watched a lot of reviews and the kindle kids 11th gen (this one) is the best for your buck. Amazon Kids gives you access to multiple books and it’s free for the first year, it also comes with no ads (only on Amazon Kids mode though). It also has a 2 year warranty included. It’s very light weight and comfortable to use. I’ve had mine for a week now and I only needed to charge it twice (it says weeks but in reality if you read longer than an hour a day, it’ll last about a week). I love how the features of this is essentially the same as the paper white. The only difference is there’s no auto adjust for lighting and there isn’t a warm light setting but I personally don’t like warm light so it doesn’t bother me. I read a lot faster with this and I love it so much. This kindle turned me back into a bookworm. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

I've been hesistant to buy a kindle. I always thought . . . why would I need another electronic device because I can read on my phone or my iPad or my laptop. I found myself still wanting to read the "hard copy" version of the book at least some of the time. I also lugged around the books my kids were reading too. One of my family members kept sharing that reading on a kindle is really similar to reading a "hard copy" of the book. So, I decided to try the Kindle. It is like reading a real book. I can easily put it in my purse or carry-on. It cuts down on the number of books that I am lugging around. When reading texts with my kids, I love that it highlights passages that many others have highlighted. I like that you can add notes or look up definitions. My daughter has dyslexia and she has shared that it really helps to change the font into the dyslexia font for all her books. The reason I am giving the kindle 4 rather than 5 stars is because the battery lif is not as long as other reviews or what I expected. I need to charge our Kindle every 4-5 days. I wish the battery were at least long enough to get me through a week long family vacation. Either way, battery last 4-5 days is pretty good and I'd definitely reccommend the Kindle. ... show more

Honestly I bought this kids kindle for myself during prime day and it was a little cheaper and so worth it. Only thing is when you go to your adult profile you have to pay to have the ads taken off but it’s a one time fee of $20. Not bad. I also didn’t mind walking around reading with my kids cover it came with! Good price, free cover. who can complain? I love my kindle! ... show more

I’m an adult woman and this is absolutely perfect. It fits in all of my bags because it’s super slim. It doesn’t have the fancy apps and additions but I just wanted it to read. It’s also cheaper than all of the other kindles with similar amount of storage. I was able to disable the child lock so I can read whatever I want. Bonus, no ads!!! ... show more
