This is such a great deal for the price! The table is sturdy and only took me about 1.5 hours to put together, all by myself. I love that the top surface is heavy because I can keep my 2yr old daughter's crayons and markers in the top storage area, when not in use, and don't have to worry about her getting ahold of them and drawing on the walls, lol. My 3 yr old son really likes this table and chairs and helped me put it together. It went together easily, though I don't like the look of exposed screw holes everywhere. I wish there was a plug or something for them. But it seems sturdy so far, my son has room to grown with the chairs and immediately started stowing away toys in the chairs and table. The set we ordered came with a missing part. The seller was willing to send a new piece, but I decided to just return. The divots under the lid makes whatever is inside accessible. Too many messes in our house. Very cute set to the eye but not what we needed. This took a about 2 hours to assemble.

I purchased this table and chairs set specifically because of the storage space. I couldn't be happier. I had previously purchased the Melissa and Doug table and chairs for two other grandkids. That product is excellent, but when shopping for the 3rd grandchild, I looked around for other options. There is storage beneath each chair and also inside the table. The top can be turned one way for a blackboard to use with chalk and the white side is for dry-erase markers (try the Crayola brand dry-erase Crayons, which are great because they don't require caps and so don't dry out). The only improvement would be to make the white side magnetic. Really happy with this purchase. Chairs are sturdy. Nana can use them, too, but I only weigh 120, so I didn't bother to check their weight limit. For me, they work fine to sit and play with my granddaughter. ... show more
