Y2K Glasses For A Man Who Was There The First Time

The small oval frame is a specific look and it is executed properly here, with a thin metal frame that reads as intentional rather than cheap. The clear lenses filter blue light subtly rather than casting everything in that aggressive yellow that makes color work impossible, the nose pads adjust to actually fit, and the frames are light enough to forget you have them on through a long stretch at a screen. I work from home staring at a monitor for most of my waking hours, and the eye strain by evening was becoming a personality trait. These help. They also make me look like I am about to explain something about the internet in 2001, which I consider a bonus.

Not entirely clear, otherwise as described

- Arrived in a box with another order so I was happy not to have excessive packaging to throw away. - I think the glasses are mostly true to listing. I like that they don’t get tangled in my hair, easy to take on and off, and I especially like that they do not have that weird yellow color. However, - the lenses are still faintly yellow, not totally clear as the pics lead you to believe. - they are so tight on my head that I got a headache from them. That’s on me for not checking the measurements (a good reminder not to go by the pictures). - After trying to loosen the frames and sticking it out a few days I felt no impact. I realized that the best use of these was to wear these in the evening rather than office hours to help with sleep rather than tension headaches and eye strain. To be fair, none of this is promised in the listing. - The price at time of the review is $14.99, which is probably average but not a great value in my opinion.

perfect for after cataract surgery screen viewing

I got these because I do a lot of computer work. Since my cataract surgery, lights and colors are much brighter, and I worry about blue light affecting my sleep. These glasses fit the bill perfectly. I no longer need prescription lenses, so these plain ones work great. My eyes don’t feel nearly as tired after a long day at the computer. I can finish work and still feel like watching a little social media afterward. They were a bit tight at first and gave me a mild headache. My husband warmed the frames with a hairdryer and gently adjusted the bridge—now they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. Really happy with them.

Comfortable, stylish, sturdy frames that fit smaller faces well

These glasses were a pleasant surprise. The measurements matched the listing, which was important to me because I often find glasses and sunglasses too wide for my face. These fit comfortably without feeling oversized. The frames feel well made. They’re thicker and have a nice weight to them, giving them a much sturdier feel than the lightweight plastic frames I’ve purchased in the past. The integrated nose piece is also very comfortable, and I didn’t notice any pressure points while wearing them. I can’t independently verify how much blue light they filter, but I did notice a very slight warm/yellow tint when looking through the lenses. It’s subtle enough that I wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasn’t specifically looking for it. Colors appear just a little less cool (my blue-gray walls looked slightly more muted), which suggests some filtering without noticeably affecting normal vision. Overall, these are attractive, comfortable, and sturdy glasses that fit my smaller face well. Based on the quality, fit, and comfort, I’d happily recommend them.

Stylish and durable!

Okay, LOVE these!! These blue light glasses are very high quality and fashionable. They honestly are on par with some of the Gunnar's I have ordered in the past. These have a noticeable difference in reducing eye strain,and thank goodness for that! They are so sturdy and durable which is so nice because you never know what kind of quality you're going to get when you order online. Value for the money is totally fair! I get a ton of compliments on these glasses. One gal described them as being a cat-eye-aviator hybrid. My only tiny grievance is that they are somewhat tight fitting on my head. So I want to see if I can get that resolved by seeing if it's possible to adjust them. I personally have a larger head so I had a few family members also try them on, some younger and some with a smaller head size and they too said they were tight fitting which is unfortunate! I will plan to actually get the measurement of how wide they are to update the review so you can make sure that they would be more of a good fit.

Blocking blue light

I spend most of my spare time either in front of my computer monitor or in front of the TV. (when I'm not cuddling with my doggy that is.) These blue light blocking glasses really work to cut down on the blue light emanating from the screens The glasses themselves are cute oval shaped . They are plastic, but they are heavy duty plastic that withstands lots of opens and closes (every time I need to get up and DO something). The plastic on the arms, surround metal, so they aren't TOTALLY plastic. This will help their longeviy.They are nice brown color that ges well with my strawberry blonde hair. They are lightweigt, so I hardly realise I am wearing them. When I take them off, I see how much blue light is actually being blocked. I leave them in front of my computer, that way, I put them on first thing when I sit down and turn it on.
