  • Kilmat is the best sound deadner for an affordable price.
Style: 80 mil 36 sqft
We got this sound deadner for my boyfriend's work van and it made a huge difference. It doesn't sound like we're traveling down the road in a tin can anymore. Road sound is non-existent. It is really easy to use. I purchased 2 different sizes rollers and used a heat gun to soften the tiles prior to applying to the curved areas and it worked perfectly. Just as good as dynamat. But much less expensive. No odor. We purchased 2 boxes and that completely covered the whole interior surfaces with some left over. Very impressive. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Lower cost with similar results.
Style: 80 mil 36 sqft
Definitely a budget version of Dyna Mat. I’ve used this brand with success on many of my classics. It’s definitely a thinner mil than the way More expensive Dyna Mat but, for the price you do get noticeable results with noise deadening and insulation. This stuff is easy to install and cut. I will buy again. ... show more

  • This stuff actually works!
Style: 80 mil 36 sqft
Okay so I bought this for my 2018 Accord. The road noise on the freeway was driving me nuts and my new speakers sounded kinda tinny. Installation wasn't too bad but it was a heck of a job, took my whole saturday. Doing it in the August heat here in Cali probably wasn't the smartest idea but it made the material super flexible lol. The adhesive is NO JOKE, once it's on, its on for good. A word of advice: make sure you get a good roller tool, dont cheap out on that part. It makes a huge difference in getting it to stick properly. The foil backing is pretty tough and I didn't have any issues with it tearing. But man, what a difference. It's not silent like a Lexus or anything, but the high-pitched road noise is cut down by at least half. The doors close with a nice solid 'thud' now instead of a hollow 'clang'. The best part is the stereo, the bass is so much tighter and I dont have to crank the volume up so high just to hear the music over the drone of the road. I did my four doors and the trunk floor with one box. It's not as thick as the super expensive Dynamat brand, but for the price, you realy can't beat it. Huge improvement for the money. ... show more

  • Nice interior volume reduction and great product
Style: 80 mil 18 sqft
Great product when applied correctly. Rolled out in two different cars and the end result was great. Prep and application are key, but take your time and it’ll do the trick.

  • A quality, cost effective sound deadening.
Style: 80 mil 18 sqft
I bought a box of this deadener to do the liftgate on my 2015 Jeep Compass. I only have a 12” powered sub, not super loud or anything. I just wanted to reduce/eliminate rattles in the cargo area. I only put this on the plastic lift gate panel, but I might go back and put another layer on the metal. It’s thin enough where you can go over the holes where the plastic clips onto the metal door panel, and then partially cut the holes out to add some extra gripping power for the clips. Just make sure to cut/clear the holes out enough so the clips can go through without bending. But it’s still thick enough to work well to reduce vibrations. Would I use it in a vehicle with a huge system that needed extensive deadening? Maybe not for the main layer. There might be better products on the market for that. But as a secondary or alternative layer for smaller panels or areas? Absolutely. Or if your system is smaller like mine and your sound deadening needs are less severe, this product is just fine for you. Basically, you wanna approach your deadening like your system. If your system is high wattage, high dollar, don’t skimp on your deadening. Get the best product you can. If your system is budget or mid level, this product will work just fine for you if you use it right. I’d recommend buying a set of rollers in the 3 main sizes for sure. Putting on deadening without them is both difficult and less effective. And the different sizes make a huge difference, even for a smaller project like mine. ... show more

  • Not as heavy as Vevor 80 mil butyl - sending back!
Style: 80 mil 18 sqft
I bought 3 brands of butyl sound deadener to see which one lived up to the hype and the best value. Measured a random sheet out of each box with calipers in 20-30 spots around the sheet, then weighed on a digital scale. - Kilmat 80mil butyl is 80 mil thick average. Sheet weighs 8.2oz and is 160sqin (10"x16"), which calculates to 19.5sqin per ounce. Sticky, but weighs the least and I could notice an odor while handling it. Sending back. - Vevor 80 mil butyl is 80 mil thick average. Sheet weighs 10.87oz and is 145sqin (10"x14.5"), which calculates to 13.4sqin per ounce. This was the heaviest butyl of the bunch, nice and sticky, no noticed odor. Installing this sound deadener. - Uxcell 80 mil butyl is actually 65 mil thick average. Sheet weighs 9.67oz and is 151sqin (9.75"x15.5"), which calculates to 15.6sqin per ounce. This was the least sticky of the bunch, probably poor adhesion as mentioned in another review, no noticed odor. Sending back. (65 mil = false advertising?) As for sound deadening qualities I'm not sure how Vevor will compare to Kilmat, but Vevor is heavier and it's less expensive. ... show more

  • Instantly deadened the 'tinny' sound of my truck doors and cut down on the road noise a bit
Style: 80 mil 36 sqft
I watch several Youtubers using this stuff so I felt confident in its quality and applicability to my needs. The only thing I found tricky is that here in sunny (HOT) Florida the tar on the pads can get too soft and when you go to remove the plastic backing (if you can) it strings out all over the place and makes a total mess. I actually found that I had to place two or three pads in the refrigerator ahead of time to cool them down and make the tar more firm and hence willing to release the plastic backing. At the same time, I didn't want to get them so cold that they would be too stiff to fit into the tight spots inside the doors and conform properly. A balancing act. Compared to my 'solid-sounding' Nissan Frontier doors our Tacoma doors sounded terrible (flimsy, fragile, tinny, noisy). This stuff did an EXCELLENT job of deadening them. This stuff works perfectly. ... show more
