An excellent facial set for men without any of the fuss and frills that one sometimes encounters with some of those that come with a few ladies sets. It's clean, safe and effective for all skin types. You receive two full sized items from the Kiehl's skincare line which is always of a better quality. There's an 8.4 fluid ounce bottle of a facial cleanser that cleans well and provides a little bit of moisturization. Not so much to disturb oilier skin though. But it will not dry out the skin either. It does have a bit of a scent that should be appealing to most men. Smells clean and sort of reminds me of some products with an ocean or nautical type of a scent. Easy on the skin without causing any sort of irritation as it removes excess sebum, dead skin cells and any other gunk that might be on the face. Then we have the facial moisturizer which provides a good layer of moisturization without leaving an oily or greasy residual that sits on the surface of the skin. None of that dew or mess that men don't want to fuss with that a lot of other moisturizers, especially for women, that has to be contended with. It's a very pale light blue and feels soothing while spreading across the skin. Also has the faintest of a scent. The tiniest bit of a mintiness that smells refreshing and invigorating. Although, that scent goes away within seconds. This comes in a full sized 6.8 fluid ounce tube which should last for a long time as a little goes a long way. Considering that this set is from a better skincare product line that is safe and effective for all skin types, I do believe that the price of $55 (today's price) is a good value for the set. Both items are full sized and would usually cost you more if purchased individually. Though this set is formulated for men, it's still quite good for the ladies too. I tried this on myself (a woman) and loved the results. I have mature combination skin and it totally satisfied both sides of my complexion without any sort of irritation. Leaves the skin feeling clean, balanced and moisturized without going overboard which is something that I have to be a bit cautious about. Should also be safe and fine for those with oily and more problematic skin, though still good for those with more mature and drier skin. Suitable for all adult age groups, from teens to seniors and actually is just as appropriate for women, especially for those just wanting the basics without any of the frills.

Mornings are usually the part of the day where I want my skincare routine to be as streamlined as possible. I don’t really want to spend 20 minutes layering products before work, so this set from Kiehl's works well as a simple and refreshing AM routine. The Facial Fuel cleanser is a gentle and effective face wash. It removes overnight oil buildup well and has a cooling, energized feel thanks to the caffeine and menthol without being overly harsh or stripping. The texture is smooth with a light gel consistency that lathers easily and rinses cleanly. My skin feels genuinely refreshed afterward rather than dry or tight. This is a must for me because I'll often shave in the morning after cleansing and if my skin feels dry I will almost inevitable end up with a cut or two. The moisturizer is the natural second step. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave behind any greasy residue, which is important as I layer sunscreen afterwards. The texture is more of a light lotion than a heavy cream, so it layers comfortably and doesn’t feel suffocating on the skin. The caffeine and vitamin C probably help give the skin a more awake, I guess "healthy" look, especially on mornings where you’re running on less sleep than you probably should be. Both products have that classic Kiehl’s fresh, slightly mentholated scent profile. It smells clean and refreshing without lingering too long or becoming overpowering. I also appreciate that these are full-sized products rather than tiny sampler bottles. You’re actually getting enough product to properly build a routine around rather than just test things for a few days. Overall, this is a great option if you're looking for a simple, effective morning skincare routine that keeps your skin feeling clean, refreshed, and hydrated without adding extra steps to your day.

If you’ve ever used a Kiehl’s skincare product you already know that their products are top notch and worth every penny. My introduction to Kiehl’s began with a jar of body butter that I received as a gift. I was immediately hooked and have been a loyal user of this premium brand ever since. I ordered this full-size face wash and moisturizer set for my husband because he has problems with dry, flaky skin on his face. Until a couple years ago, he used bar soap in the shower to wash his face. He switched to a drugstore face wash to address the dryness he had been experiencing but it only gave him a moderate level of improvement. After receiving this set, I replaced his drugstore face wash in the shower with the Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash, and he’s been using it daily ever since, along with the Facial Fuel Daily Energizing Moisture Treatment for Men. I saw an improvement in his skin very soon after he started using the products. After two days, I noticed that his facial skin looked better - more hydrated with no visible flakiness. On Day 4, I asked him what he thought about the products. He gave both the face wash and moisturizer high marks and provided some specific feedback: FACE WASH LIKES - face feels clean with no dryness, nice light scent, gentle tingle and cooling sensation on application that refreshes and wakes up the skin FACE WASH DISLIKES - None. MOISTURIZER LIKES - good hydration, absorbs quickly, feels light and not greasy, light and fresh scent, doesn’t cause face to sweat MOISTURIZER DISLIKES - None. The set includes two full size products that contain several effective and beneficial skincare ingredients, including caffeine, menthol, and vitamin c derivatives to name a few. Buying the 8.4 oz face wash and 6.8 oz moisturizer together in this 2-piece set is a great deal and provides a substantial savings over purchasing the products individually. I appreciate that Kiehl’s offers a set with just the cleanser and moisturizer, rather than including additional products (like a scrub, toner, serums, etc.) that people like my husband would never use. This set is a great value for the price and my husband highly recommends it.
