Overall these are cute little sunglasses, great for kids. They are not super great quality but I did order them for birthday party goody bags so for that they work well. There are 6 different colored frames and each has its own colored, mirrored lens which is neat. For party favors they are perfect. For kids who love sunglasses but seem to go through a lot of them, these might be a good solution. None of the pictures in the item description accurately show these sunglasses - they appear to be computer images. I attached a picture which may help getting a real look at these. As for the claim of being polarized lenses... I did a simple test. Now while the lenses are dark and do dim the surrounding lights, I am not 100% confident these are actually polarized. And that's why I docked it a star. To test this (and you can do this at home) I took my pair of sunglasses which I know to be polarized and held them up to my computer screen. I had a blank word document open on the brightest setting and when I held them in front of the screen, it went completely black. When I did the same thing with these kids sunglasses, it dimmed the screen but it did not go black. Also, when wearing polarized lenses (while halfway through this review), I tilted my head all around and could clearly see a change in the screens appearance going from barely visible writing to completely black. When I did the same thing with the kids glasses, there was no change. Just a dimmer view. I included those pictures as well. As for the UV protection claim... I did another simple test. First, there is nothing that shows an ANSI label. I have read that polycarbonite lenses offer the best protection - these are clearly plastic - but on the flip side mirrored lenses offer a little more protection than non-mirrored. I tried testing these with a UV light shining onto a $20 bill. Without the sunglasses the UV light makes the security strip appear to glow. When I shined the light through the sunglasses onto the security strip it was more difficult to see. So I would guess that these do offer (at least some) UV protection. Overall, for the money these are not a bad choice. Less than a dollar a pair is tough to beat.

Great quality for what it is - I usually don't have high expectations for bulk products, especially party favors. But these really surprised me. Made with a lightweight plastic, but slightly flexible so they should last through kids' tugging. Each pair is a nice vibrant color and wrapped enough so that they're protected from scratching against each other. Can't attest if it truly is 100% UV blocking, but the lenses are dark enough to protect sensitive eyes from sun glare. Got these as party favors for an upcoming party, and the price is great for the amount you get. I rarely see bulk packs of more than 8 or 12 items, and with this you get 24! The seller states these glasses will fit ages 3-8 but it was just right on my 6yo nephew and fit nicely on my 4yo and 5yo nieces. I think they'd be tight for most kids 7 or older.
