I was able to start testing this right out of the box, as it was at least somewhat charged (although I will say that it does tell you to charge it at least two hours before starting to use it, so you may want to do that instead of using it right away like I did). I started testing it without even looking at the instructions, and it was very easy. Press and hold the button on the side to power it up. You get a time and date screen when it turns on (you will need to adjust the time and date, as it will most likely be incorrect upon first use). Press the side button again to access the other functions, such as the camera, music, etc. I was able to test the music right away, as it comes with at least one pre-loaded kid-friendly song. The sound is easily audible, and pleasant. No phone is needed to use the watch, and in fact I don't see any option or instructions for pairing it to a phone. So it can definitely be a stand-alone device, which is great for younger kids. Overall, I'd say this is a good, easy-to-use kids' smart watch. It seems a pretty good value for the price.

Our 2 year old is obsessed with this. It’s been great to keep her attention away from our phones. She loves taking pictures, playing games and really just even pressing it to hear the music. The battery didn’t last a full day so I’m taking off 1 star and the baby loves it so much it’s a challenge to take it off her to charge it.

I recommend this LITEYPP Kids Smartwatch for Boys and Girls Ages 3 to 13. The Smartwatch has a large easy to read 1.54 inch Screen and comes with Manual, a USB-A to magnetic connector charging cable. The Band is soft and comfortable as well as Safe and non-toxic. The Smartwatch does not have Phone Call capabilities and does not require an App because it does not require a Smartphone connection. This is something that is important to us, we do not want our 5 year old child having Social Media connectivity or phone call ability. The Smartwatch is stand alone and has 24 Puzzle Games, a Music Player, a Camera that takes photos and videos, 6 Watch faces and emoticons that are for kids. As your child becomes ready to learn more there are other Tools like a Flashlight, Calculator, Timer, a Recorder and a Pedometer to keep track of their steps per day. As a parent this allows Control and the features grow with your childs' abilities without the worries of Social Media exposure or needing to be tied to an Application and a Smartphone. The LITEYPP Kids Smartwatch is at a fair cost compared to other Smartwatches and the uses are easily learned by your child.

The media could not be loaded. The camera on this watch is a highlight for sure. It’s fun for kids to use, and the picture quality is better than expected. My nephew enjoys taking selfies and making videos with his friends, and with the large storage, there’s room for plenty of photos and videos. Plus, being able to set their photos as the wallpaper adds a personal touch, which he loves. The watch even supports music playback, so he listens to his favorite songs while playing. The only minor issue is that it might take a bit of time for younger kids to get used to navigating between all the features, but once they figure it out, it’s pretty smooth.

The media could not be loaded. Setting up this watch was super easy, which I appreciated. There’s no need for a SIM card or any complicated apps, so it’s ready to use right out of the box. My son loves tracking his steps with the built-in pedometer, and it’s motivated him to stay active. He checks his step count daily and sets goals for himself, which has been a positive addition to his routine. The alarm clock feature has also helped him get into a good morning schedule. It’s a simple, fun tool for encouraging healthy habits, even if it doesn’t have advanced features like GPS or phone capabilities.

I ordered this for my 12 YOA grandson’s birthday. It looks enough like an apple watch to fool a casual observer. Of course it lacks the features of its high-priced competitor, But it is after all a kids watch. It tells time, it has some simple games, and both a video and still camera. This looks like a good stepping stone to a full feature smart watch in the future. If he takes care of it, we’ll know he could responsibly handle more expensive gear. If he destroys it…not that big a deal.
