Of course, he is too young to understand and use the full functionality of this toy yet, but he will grow into it as well. This thing has a great speaker, and the music plays with high-quality sound for a toy. It helps to have a button to adjust the volume so you can set it at a lower volume if needed. Since this toy stays at the grandparent or great-grandparent's house, he never gets bored playing with the saxophone. The first one stopped working after a few weeks. It took a really long time to get the replacement. The second one broke after the very first use. As you can see in the photos, the battery compartment popped open. It stayed closed where the screw is but the other side popped open and one of the batteries came out. Very dangerous.
