We have been through MANY broken over the door hoops through the years and this is the most durable so far. Aside from durability, this one comes with THREE balls, has lights & sounds, AND even folds up, so no more marks on wall from the hoop banging on it. As I stated, my son is 17 and loves it, so I would say this hoop has no age limit for enjoyment. One thing I almost forgot, the pads that go on the back are thick and very effective as well. My seven year old and three year old love this basketball goal. I will say that the goal doesn’t always register when they get the ball in the goal, so they’ve been keeping track themselves every time they score. I wish they would have done a bit better of a job with it registering that. But it is still a fun game for them and they still love it.
