I too am very happy with the quality of this costume, and my son has already spent lots of time in it. I wanted to share some sizing info, since it seemed a bit scarce on the size small. My son is 5 1/2, right about a size 6 coming into winter. The size 5-7 is PERFECT at the ankles and wrists and crotch, so good thing he isn't taller! The costume is rather slim cut, so if your kid is at all husky it might be too tight. The gloves are my only real complaint, though they still look cool. The fingers are very skinny, and very long. Which looks cool, but if your kid has thick fingers they may not fit. He needs help pulling them on. I'm happy with the strong velcro for the wings and tail, it's been adequate for around the house. Maybe we'll safety pin it on for trick or treating, but it'll be nice to easily take them off to get in the car. He's almost 46" tall, and 37" at his shoulder, see pic. Tried to show the gloves too, his fingers are curled to show the extra fabric. One last hint- I had a wide fabric tube-like headband, it works perfectly to cover his head to cover up his blond head behind the dragon mask. ... show more

This is the best dragon costume. I bought it for my 7 year old (medium 8-10). He loves it. The detail and material is a good quality. I'm impressed with how well it fits. This costume looks incredible! Good quality material- especially the mask which is a soft flexible foam as opposed to those hard plastic store things. My son says the costume feels like wearing his 'jammies' with soft, warm and flexible material. Real zippers, good velcro, soft fabric (not felt)... Such a fun costume! It fits my almost-5-year-old well, with a little room to grow in length. He is very thin, and this works on him but would also be fine for a kid that isn't so thin. The material is somewhat stretchy. I love how the material feels and the areas that look like silver scales on the bodysuit are really cool. The detail of the design is good. The mask is comfortable to wear and it's nice that it doesn't totally cover the face and yet still looks almost like a full mask. My kid loves the gloves and the long claw-like appearance they give his hands. The gloves have a lot of extra length in the fingers for him, but he doesn't care. The bottom of the feet are open so shoes can be worn under it and the feet are shaped like dragon feet to cover shoes. The wings and tail are the parts I'm not such a fan of. While the wings are a good shape, they and the tail just velcro on and they can look awkward and fall off if the kid is playing much in it. I wish the tail was curved upward instead of downward and had a better way to attach - the tail is a little heavy for the costume to hold it just with velcro. The other downside of this is that the child has to unzip it in the back to take it off in order to use the restroom. That's incredibly challenging for some little kids. My child was so excited about this costume that he wore the bodysuit part to bed and he was losing his mind trying to get out of it when he woke up needing to go to the restroom. I think that, as a Halloween costume for a child with a parent there to help with it, this is a really good costume. The price seems just a little higher than I'd like, but the costume overall is well-made with great detail so I am ok with it. ... show more

This is a really well-made and impressive costume for the price. I don't think I've ever seen such a cool looking dragon costume before. The attention to detail is what stands out immediately. The scaly fabric looks great, and the mask is fantastic- it's made from a soft, flexible foam that's much more comfortable and detailed than the cheap plastic masks you often find. The wings have wires to hold their shape, which adds a lot to the dramatic effect. The fit was true to size based on the chart. The jumpsuit has a bit of stretch, making it comfortable for moving around, and the attached shoe covers are a nice touch that completes the silhouette. The tail and wings attach with sturdy Velcro that held securely during use. The only thing to be aware of is that it's a full jumpsuit with a back zipper, so a child will likely need assistance getting in and out of it, particularly for quick bathroom breaks. It's a trade-off for the complete look. Overall, this costume delivers on its promise. It looks even better in person than in the product photos and feels durable enough for multiple uses, not just one Halloween night. It was a definitive success and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, dramatic dragon costume. 5 stars! ... show more
