Packaging was great and everything was in excellent condition which is something I always worry about when ordering something large. My only advice would be to have a picture for reference when building since the instructions donโ€™t include color and also make sure to have your screws accounted for and which color will go where as itโ€™s a bit confusing and have damaged kidkraft toys in the past due to this. ... show more

We gave it to our grandson for his 3rd birthday! He loves it so much. He has a little difficulty getting the men to slide down the pole but so do I. We will probably buy the extra people that was recommended as it only comes with one fireman and one policeman.

So impressed with this Hometown Heroes play set. Will be a Santa gift for 3 1/2 year old grandson and I wish I didn't have to wait till Christmas. EXACTLY as pictured and described with tons of accessories and vivid colors. Assembled yesterday and though assembly did take longer than expected (3 hours for very SLOW grandparents) it was actually fun. Assembly hints: the instructions are pictures only but the pieces ARE numbered and correspond correctly. The screws, all requiring a Phillips head, have colored tops (ie. if you are placing one into a red brick wall background, use a red topped screw). Would recommend opening (you'll need a small utility knife) and releasing each screw packaging compartment and separating the screw sizes before starting. The accessories are all in a separate box BUT there are 4 small pieces necessary to complete attaching the garage doors that we found IN that box in the sealed bag containing the action figures and dogs. Looking for these pieces (the #9's) probably accounted for an hour of our time and they weren't found till this AM when I was examining the accessories. Will add notes after Santa arrives but I anticipate HOURS of imaginative play with this set. I can't wait to join that fun! Note: I discovered that replacement parts are free for 90 days from purchase in the event something does go wrong. ... show more
