This is a great keyboard for the price. I would say this would be good for practice or for a beginner. I don’t have a huge house so I wanted something smaller than a piano to practice at home.     • It's fine. Fairly basic, seems expensive
This seems pretty expensive for a fairly basic keyboard. We like it just fine, but it seems to be 2x what a similar keyboards are going for. I like the quality of the keyboard just fine, but both the AC adapter and the microphone are very chintzy. I'm concerned this AC adapter will short out. It's not cordless or rechargeable. It takes 6 D batteries if you're so inclined (not included). I hate keeping track of larger batteries (like C and D), and I find they die pretty fast in larger devices like this. It's not worth it for 20 or 30 minutes of play. The instruction book is pretty poor, it doesn't explain many of the features. If getting for a beginner, there are other keyboards that include lesson modes or free apps that teach you how to play. This one doesn't do that. It has a teach mode (or follow mode), but that's only for use when you have a teacher next to you. 3.5 stars ... show more

This keyboard is lightweight yet seems durable. The sound is decent overall. I like all of the sound/style options. This keyboard can be plugged in with the included power adapter or powered by six D batteries (not included). It also came with a book stand and plug in microphone. I ordered STRICH's Keyboard Piano 61 Key, Full Size Electric Piano Beginner Electronic Keyboard with Sheet Music Stand for Adults, SEK-600 in Black. I am thoroughly impressed! As someone who has never owned a keyboard, I find playing a few notes fun and entertaining. Having fun with the grandkids when they come over is also a blast. The sound quality is impressive; no one can walk by without turning it on and playing a few keys. I continue to learn about many controls and functions, and I may soon invest in lessons to fully take advantage of all it has to offer. Additionally, the keyboard is lightweight and durable, making it perfect for transporting or moving to different rooms. I got this keyboard for my 11 year old niece who has been wanting to learn to play. It is lightweight but sturdy enough to give you a decent sound. She has begun to teach herself to play and is very happy with it. I am glad I got this for her she is learning quickly and the music sounds good.

    • Perfect for grandson who wants to "Try" the piano
In my day, there really was no "try" the piano. Your parents got you lessons and you went to them and practiced like crazy so you didn't get yelled at the following week by your piano teacher. Nowadays things are a bit "nicer." My grandson decided he wanted to "try to play" the piano after playing a little at my house. Obviously I am not going to run out and buy him a baby Grand - so enter this keyboard. This, along with a few basic lessons, should be enough for him to decide if the Piano is right for him. This 61 key electric keyboard bundle is a really good deal. It has everything in it you need to start. It includes the keyboard, stand, bench, and a microphone. I wouldn’t call is a top-notch keyboard, but it is great for beginners. Would make a great gift for the new and upcoming piano player.
