I had cataract surgeries over 20 years ago. The lens available at that time could not correct my near vision so I have to wear glasses to read or do close up work. Over the years, I have bought many pairs of reading glasses. Some as cheap as $1.25 a pair at a local dollar store. Others were much more expensive at drug stores. So, I have plenty of experience and believe I am able to compare the different options. The bottom line is that these glasses are the best ones I've ever had regardless of price. The optics are great, the frames are solid, the temple piece are on spring hinges, and each pair has a nice pocket case to protect them. BTW, mine are a 2.5 strength. There are online charts to help you determine the level of magnification that you need. However, I suggest you visit a drugstore and try on different strength glasses before ordering or purchasing there. ... show more
