So I have been using Dollar Store readers for years, they were fine. UNTIL I tried these!!! So much nicer and I feel like I can see much better through them. I’ve thrown away all my cheapie ones! They do have the blue light blocking, which causes everything to have a yellow cast. Not a deal breaker, but worth mentioning. I have no way to test the actual magnification value of these glasses but they work for me and they are very nicely made with great spring hinges i didn’t expect for this price. I have seen people’s prescription glasses made much worse than these. I use mine All day long everyday and I have No scratches or blemishes of any kind on my first pair. The glasses are awesome. The lenses are thick, comfortable and the glasses fit nicely on my face. Very happy they don't look like my U S Army issued (BCG's) I threw away 12 pairs of glasses once I got these. I have been wearing the first set 14 to 16 hours a day on and off. Still no scratches on the lenses. I'm not recommending you drop on pavement and stomp on them with your feet and grind them into the pavement, then they might scratch. I have dropped on the cement, pavement, wooden floors and regular dirt. I just rinse with hot soapy water and pat dry, and wear then, perfect every time. We normally grab readers for my husband at those dollar stores , but they are not worth a dollar . My husband breaks off the right ear piece always . The last batch That we bought there I reinforced with a clear glue on all of the areas that break for him and they did last longer for him but they still broke before their time . I found this Kerecsen brand and it had some believable reveiews , and 6 for under $20.00 was a good price . The lenses are easier to see through which is nice , who knew that their was such a quality differnce .My husband likes them hopefully they are more sturdy and will last longer for him . ... show more
