Our entire wedding budget was $6k, and I was searching for a non-traditional drape veil to accompany my ebay find Oleg Cassini dress. Every veil I looked at from boutiques to Etsy was either too expensive, too cheap (in so far as being shoddily crafted), wrong shade of ivory, or just looked plain bad. I was at the point of going to the fabric store and just buying material to make my own when I saw this one and decided to give it a try. SO GLAD I DID. PROS: Simple, elegant, inexpensive, reusable (it has held up well since the wedding, 6 months onward), flexible arrangement options, cathedral length but easily trimmed, LOOKS VERY ELEGANT, did not have to iron at all (took it out of the bag and sprayed with vodka/let hang for a few days before the wedding), plain and unadorned which allowed the dress's intricate details to shine through visibly, and absolutely the perfect shade of ivory. CONS: Combs are a little flimsy, being plastic (the veil is long and can catch or weigh the combs down...this was not a problem for me but I could see where they could break easily). The gold costume accouterments that came with it were given to my delighted niece as a happy, as they were not needed nor were they sophisticated/refined in appearance. That's all. Inexpensive, not the typical choice, but EXACTLY what I was looking for and HIGHLY elegant in real life. I could have bought the same material from a fabric store for a bit cheaper without paying for the gold costume accessories, but it was worth $20 for me to not have to sew in combs myself. This vs. a couture veil for $200 or more??? No brainer. ... show more

This was perfect for my wedding day. when i bought it, it was fairly new to amazon and didn't have a lot of feedback. i loved that you would be able to see my hair, which was different. i ordered it with a few others to have options. i kept this and returned the others! it's not ivory for sure more of a true white so just keep in mind. the clips were so cute and i got so many compliments. they came with a case for safekeeping i believe. the clip on my right side did pop out but i blame my sister for not making it secure enough with two bobby pins ... show more

I combed and combed these reviews because I wanted this veil to work out in the worst way. I have a mixed Ivory and Champagne colored wedding dress. Could really go either way with choosing the right color veil. Based on what I read from the reviews, the ivory is more white, and the champagne would be the better route for a better color matching. I bought the champagne one first. Love the material! It feels really sturdy and soft. Most veils feel too crunchy/scratchy/rough/awkward. It lays and drapes well to look flattering. The combs are plastic and a fine quality. They just need some help staying in the hair. Maybe it would of been better trying it on with over hair-sprayed hair and/or done-up hair. My saving grace was I bought a small tiara that will help support the clips as well as some good ol' fashioned bobby pins. My gripe on the champagne veil is it's way too dark. I thought it may be more blushy? Sure, it matches the champagne colored parts of my dress, but compared to my pale skin, it's tanner than me! I can't be outdone by a veil! It didn't look right with my medium brown hair either. It just looks ... off? Not quite right? Something's not adding up... So, I bought the ivory one! I was worried the fabric quality may change due to the color change and was dreading getting a stiff veil. My initial reaction to the second veil when I opened it from the package was, "... This is white." Checked the label, and it read "Ivory". Review-wise, spot on with the initial shock of it being too white. However, after you open it up out of the package, spread it out, and lay it how it should be, it doesn't look bad/off. Took a few crude photos to see how it would look color-wise, and you wouldn't know it wasn't what I deem as ivory colored. I didn't think I wanted a cathedral length veil, but turned out to work/look better with my puddly skirt of a dress. My dress is over-the-top and especially from the waist up. I didn't want the veil to get lost or outdo the dress. This exposes the beautiful back of my dress of lace and rhinestone buttons and actually will highlight it more with the way it drapes on my back. Overall, that was a lot to say about a rather inexpensive veil being the right fit after a color change. Take the plunge and get it. Don't be daunted by the initial shock. Open it up, and you'll see what I mean. ... show more

The pearls and veil are two separate pieces and I had some trouble with the chains coming off of the hair clip and the pearls coming off the chains as a result it was an easy fix as I had pliers, but was definitely stressful lol all in all I really love the veil it is of high-quality and the pearls add a lovely touch to it.
