The tool especially excels in countersinking or deburring holes in aluminum, plastics and other nonmetallics. I have used this in plywood and hardwood (walnut) so far. It makes gorgeous, clean countersinks in pre-drilled holes. I literally said "Wow" out loud to nobody the first time I used it in plywood. I am never going back to those awful multi-fluted countersink bits that leave torn-up jagged edges!

    • Quality tool but shavings do not clear easily.
This tool works great. It cut nice and clean on walnut. It is well made and looks the part. My only minor gripe is that the shavings always end up in the hole in the middle. After a few holes I have to use something to push them out.

For countersinking holes in wood or some metals, this thing is amazing! Butter smooth operation and really nice clean great looking bevels. WAY BETTER than those countersink bits with like 5-6 blades which always end up bouncing around and making some kinda ugly hexagon shaped hole, this thing makes perfectly round holes/bevels. I bought this to counter sink the holes I was drilling for threaded inserts. When I first opened it, I wasn't expecting much, but it did great against red oak. Would purchase again.

    • If You Work With Aluminum, This Is What You Want
The single flute design keeps it from hopping all over the place like multi-flute versions. This makes for an excellent finish with no chatter marks. Just buy it.

I bought this to counter sink screws in a diy closet cabinet build, and I love this thing. I was skeptical of the design at first, but this thing works better than any other countersink I own. Even in situations where I use a different countersink, I give a light pass over the hole with this one to smooth it out or remove burrs. I will never again not own one of these. ... show more
