The locking system keeps the earrings safe on your ears and there is no "back tag" to catch and grab on anything. The Huggie version of this design and designer are my "go to" earrings for travel because they look elegant, lightweight, secure, I can sleep with them on, compliment with many outfits, and I can replace them if somehow I misplaced them. The colors in the crystals are very much lighter than the jewel tones in the picture, very sparkly though. If you are looking for light blue, pink and clear these would be great. I don't wear pastels so didn't work.
