I just took these out for a day on the lake with my kayak and let me tell you they are the most comfortable water shoes I've ever worn. It's just like going barefoot but with protection on your feet. You can still feel the larger rocks but not bad. And they have a real sure grip on things so they really inspire confidence. One of the reasons I went with these over some of the others is that they don't have a huge brand name emblazoned on them. Just a tasteful little set of initials at the top of the tongue and the name placed discretely on bottom of the soul. My feet were so comfortable all day I didn't even think about them. That's a true sign of comfort. I normally wear a 12EEE so I got the size 13 to help make up for the width. They fit perfectly with just 1/4" of space in front of my toe. The toe cap is wide enough that my toes are happy campers in there. And with the two adjustment straps you can get a nice snug fit. No chance of them falling off my feet anyway. I got the Black/Blue 2779's and they look fantastic. Better than the pictures in real life. They appear to be very well made and I look forward to getting many years of use out of these shoes. ... show more

I have purchased many pairs of water/beach shoes but they all would hinder me from swimming or even treading water. I like to wear foot protection when I am at the beach so I don't get cut stepping on broken shells. These shoes allow my toes and feet to flex in a more natural way and I can actually swim and tread water better than barefoot. The soles offer a good amount of protection while walking on hard surfaces and pavement while still allowing the flexibility I was looking for to swim! I wear a size 12 shoe and originally ordered a size 12 but they were bit cramped in the toes area so I exchanged them for a size 13. The size are much more comfortable however a 12 1/2 would be perfect but no complaints! I love them. ... show more

These fit true to size and held up to a five hour white water rafting trip. Comfortable, too. If you’re going to be in water and debating size, buy smaller so they don’t slip off.
