  • Larger size trash can with lots of features
There are a lot of features packed with this trash can that makes it useful: * Size: on the larger size, so may not work for a small boat. It can hold a lot of trash * Easy to carry home - just grab and go * clips to hold trash bag in place - you can use a standard 13 gallon kitchen bag and clip it, so it does not fall out of place. * flaps on the lid make it so the trash stays in place * collapses for storage - although I found the clips to keep it close are a bit hard to loop * Looks strong Overall I am very happy with the trash can and can work for camping, RVing, road trips, anything. Just keep in mind not to put it upside down or you will get a mess. ... show more

  • Reasonably Well Made Collapsible 50 L Trash Can Has SO Many Possibilities! ;o)
Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o) A mesh collapsible can can be used all sorts of ways! For us, whilst our house is being remodeled and lacking space, we are using this to store (and tote) our laundry downstairs to the laundry room! I originally got this collapsible can to use while we are camping in the great outdoors to store equipment to be carried to the site, and use as a trash can, natch! I'm even thinking of get another can to store my collapsible cold plunge tub that is missing its carry bag, as the dimensions are perfect! Not only is this can fairly well made, it has a strap across the top with a sturdy buckle to assist you in carrying this can, an opening that keeps trash and whatnot from flying away, plus a zip off top with easy rubberized pull tabs for easy opening for removal of said trash. There's straps with snaps within the can that hold a 13 gal bag in place too. Lastly, there's yet another strap at the bottom to anchor it to a post or railing of an RV to help it stay put. Here's some details that aren't shown in the listing: The can is 28" tall, and is 12" in width or diameter. The nylon fabric portion is a tad on the weak side; the mesh is on the light side as well. I'm unsure how long this can will last, truth be told. I will say the 'spiral' that helps this can collapse beautifully is covered by fabric, a good thing! (I've had a lot of collapsible items over the years that didn't have this enclosed feature, causing the metal spiral 'spring' to fall apart-- on this can it won't. In summary, with care, this trash can could last a while. Just don't be too rough with it. I would recommend using this trash can with 13 gal trash bags, to insure longevity as well. Enjoy your camping and boating experiences! This collapsible can will help keep things tidy for you. *********************************************************** May Your Year Be Warm, Cherry And Bright! ;o) Cheerio and Best of Luck in all your endeavors! Hopefully, this review was helpful. ... show more

  • Best camping trash can I've had yet!
I love this pop-up trash can! I don't think it's raccoon proof, but it is windproof, kid proof, and so practical! I can clearly see the boat influence, and it would be perfect on a boat. No worries about any trash escaping this brilliant design. I like that it's pop up and fold down, and takes up very little room when not being used as a trash can. I like that trash can't blow out of it when it's zipped up, but I can still access it with the center opening. I really like how lightweight it is! And probably best of all for my purposes, I like that I can attach it to my table with the clips that I use and it will never blow away while still containing the trash. It doesn't hurt that it looks nice too. I'm going to use this as many adventures as I can until it fails! ... show more

  • A little unwieldy, but it does the job
Basically, the wire that gives the thing shape and form when expanded makes it really difficult to collapse and pack the thing away. If they'd made the little eye-holes for the buckles a little bigger, or just designed it so one of the mounting straps could double as a "hold it together when it's collapsed" strap, this wouldn't be an issue. That's why it lost the star. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to. Open top, secure bag, close top, insert trash. Straps onto the bimini or other deck hardware so it can hang outside the cockpit without getting in the way. The rigid wire gives it a good solid shape, and once you've wrestled it into submission, it collapses down nicely for storage down below when you're not using the boat. Maybe a bit bigger than we needed for our little day-sails, but it's perfect for a weekend! ... show more

  • Great little trash bin for outdoors and takes up very little space!
I love how the trash bin has a convenient slot on the top to stuff trash into. It is easy to secure for use on my back deck and it is light so I can take it to different areas of the yard if needed and clip it to the fence so it does not fall over or blow away. I have it in a discreet corner of the deck so it is convenient when we eat outdoors. The bin liners at the dollar store fit perfectly so it stays clean and fresh inside, but the mesh fabric also can be hosed off and dries fast. All around great collapsible trash bin. We will probably also take it with us when we go camping or on long drives. We don't have a boat, but we do go to the river pretty often and I could see it being useful there too. The zipper is very sturdy, too. ... show more

  • Has A Few Issues
I will be using this in our camper van, so my review is different than if it was being used on a boat. There are two things that I do not like. 1) To open up the bag, there are two loops that you need to undo. The loops are around a plastic piece and they are tight. I found them difficult to undo and my husband really struggled since his fingers are bigger. I think Velcro would be a better option. When you undo one, the bag opens up halfway, of course. After using the bag, putting it back into the loops is also a struggle. 2) The bag does not actually have hooks. It has snaps. We found snapping in the trashbag to be tedious. If you are going out on a boat for a day and only doing it once, it may not be an issue. If you are camping and using it daily, this is a pain. The bag has straps that allows you to secure it to a pole. This is nice for a campsite or boat. It has a zippered top with a slit. This is nice if you are throwing away cans. It will be messy if you are throwing away food items or plates. The top does not have to be used, so it is not really an issue. The quality is good for what it is. It is very compact when it is being stored. ... show more
