I am going to hike in the Sierras this fall and climb a 14K+ peak. This pack is going to carry my gear. It seems well designed and constructed. It has enough volume to contain all my gear for a multiday hike without being outrageously bulky. It seems comfortable enough, but we shall see. There are lots of zippered pockets but what I really like is the large central "container" which has a zipper at the bottom, so you don't have to pull everything out from the top. Since I have not used it yet I will update this review after my trip, but if I don't do a review now, I may be timed-out from reviewing this later. ... show more

I could talk about this pack for hours.I hammock camp, this fits everything i pack and thensome.and im still using synthetic top and bottom quilts,so they take up alot of space.and when i put 38 lb of gear in it and put the pack on,i could hardly tell it was there.comfort is key.this thing holds the keys for the ride.tuff...solid...priced right. ... show more

Backpack is very comfortable. I got an 85L and can fit all I need for 4 days on a winter camping trip and have a lot of room to carry other's stuff too. The only thing I had on the outside were my hiking poles. It would be nice if you take the top off for a day pack like I’ve seen on others, but that’s my only suggestion. Seems to be very good quality, as you would expect with a Kelty, but I’ve only used it once so far. ... show more

The backpack came in a great condition and it looks well made. Unfortunately the material is very thin, the buckles are very small and made out of plastic, compared to other backpacks I had and also the bottom has no extra protection. Due to the above mentioned observation I am really reluctant on the durability of this backpack, even though because of the size it is what I need. Even though the material is thin, the backpack itself is king of heavy due to the back support which actually looks durable. ... show more

Bought this pack for a 5 day hike this summer. So far I only had the chance to pack it with my gear and it holds all the bulky stuff just great. The pack is really comfortable and spacious in the 85l variant. The trip will tell, if it is a good pack.

For several months, I considered buying it but hesitated to order it. Finally, I made an order although the delivery estimate time was longer than usual. However, the item was delivered earlier than expected. I made 12.4 miles of hiking with a fully loaded backpack. WOW, the backpack supports my low back and shoulders a lot. I was very comfortable wearing the backpack during the hiking. The weight of the backpack was about 27 lb. I was fine to make 12.4 miles a day with the backpack.
