We've been doing a lot of home improvement lately that's involved a lot of spray painting. Even though I've got a compressor and compressed air sprayers, most of the spray painting has involved single use spray cans because the air sprayers are just too much of a PITA to set up, use and clean, so I decided to replace the air sprayers with an electric model. The KEEPSOON paint sprayer is a corded HVLP spray gun that includes 4 different replaceable nozzles, has three different spray patterns (circular, horizontal, and vertical), 1.3L capacity, adjustable flow control and backflow prevention system that allows spraying at an angle. You can dial in "max flow" at the trigger or control it manually with trigger pressure. The paint intake can be rotated to allow spraying at different angles. The entire paint system is removable for easy cleaning using the included brushes and needles and the back pops open to allow cleaning the air filter. Also included are a 'viscosity cup' that allows you to measure the viscosity of diluted paint and some filters that you can use to strain out chunks that might clog the sprayer. The different nozzle sizes are for different types of painting. The nozzle size is embossed in the brass nozzle in case you have difficulty telling them apart. 1.0mm for high atomization light contact spray or solutions 1.8mm for high atomization finish and touch up painting 2.6mm for thicker products such as dilute latex, colorant, sealants, and varnish 3.0mm for thick paints like primer, latex and undiluted heavy paint There's not much in the way of instructions which could be a problem if you've never used a paint sprayer before. If you're new to spray painting find some videos that explain the process and practice on some test pieces before using it on a real project. Try it out with plain water to see how it behaves and how the nozzles work before you move on to paint. Personally I think that it beats the heck out of my old compressed air sprayers. It has more nozzle sizes and patterns, it's easier to control flow, and best of all there's no compressor generating tons of noise and making sudden pressure changes when it decides to run. It's a bit heavier than the air sprayers but on the flip side there's no heavy hose dangling from the sprayer interfering with movement. Just take care of it because finding replacement parts for an off-brand product can be a real challenge. Recommended. ... show more

very handy to have as long as you keep it charged. we had no power at a job one day last week so I charged this up overe night (have solar charged it since then which was pretty cool and very easy) and was able to have light in dark corners and closets, charge my phone up, and we lostened to the radio (which is something we haven't done in a very long time!!). I'm not great at the DIY. I can admit that easily. I was intimidated by the idea of using a paint sprayer, but more intimidated by the idea of having to use several weekends just to paint our kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. (There are a lot of them). My weekends are my only 'me' time, so I got this in the hopes that we'd be able to hit all the cabinet doors and drawers one weekend, then do the interior the next weekend. My husband has used paint sprayers plenty of times. He was impressed by everything that came with this, and with how easy it was to set up and use. It works best when the reservoir is filled enough. Once it gets low, it doesn't spray evenly and sputters some, but we expected that. This might be a problem for someone only wanting to do a small project with a color they aren't planning to use on anything else. We had paint left over that we poured back into our can to use on other household projects. We laid down plastic over some tables and sawhorses to get all set up. We tested the sprayer to see how well we'd do with getting an even spray. We ran a few coats on the cabinet doors and this helped the work go by FAST! I'm looking forward to painting the interior. Taping off, not so much, but it is what it is! I'm so excited that I'll be able to have all the cabinets painted in a total of TWO days! This thing is so worth the money. I'd buy it again, but it seems pretty sturdy. Clean-up was easy and nothing got gunky or damaged by cleaning it up or using it, so I'm very satisfied that this will work through a lot more projects for our old home. ... show more

The build of this is good. I didn’t think I was going to break it at any point. The controls are easy to understand and use. It comes apart enough to clean it decently. I did use acrylic interior paint in it and it worked. The instruction book just said water or solvent based paints and to dilute the paint if needed but no other information on how to dilute it. So it did work and was similar to spray paint so you do have to take your time and go slow. I found longer slower strokes worked the best which can be more tiring than if you just got paint on a roller. It does have some overspray so you’ll need to be careful how close you get to flooring and ceilings or other things not to be painted. The paint is blown so the air will be filled with paint particles which will drift and land on the floor. Wear a respirator or other filter for your lungs. There was build up on the nozzle that I tried to get a picture of. This happened eventually after running the machine long enough. When the build up got too big, it would throw a chunk of half dried paint onto the wall. This may be because my paint may have been too thick, but again the instructions were lacking. Also, the cord is way too small. Even in a small room I had to switch outlets several times. All in all, I wouldn’t use this again indoors. The overspray mess is too annoying to clean up and taking precautions ahead of time would be costly and take even more time.
