I use this strap to hang my boxing heavy bag over an i-beam in the basement, and it does a great job. One thing I do, however, is put a towel between this and the i-beam so that the axle strap is not sitting directly on the i-beam. I do that because I worry if the micromotion of the bag rocking back and forth directly against the metal i-beam would eventually cut the axle-strap and cause the heavy bag to fall on the floor. I haven't had that happen, yet, but I do it as a precaution and I'd recommend others do that as well if using it for the purpose I just described. Otherwise, this axle strap does a great job. I do wish they were a bit longer for my application, but they work as advertised. I used them every weekend to transport my tractor and they have not frayed or show other signs of wear. The square shape of the D ring (more of a triangle ring) was at first a little annoying, but I have found that this is probably the correct shape because it lets the chain hook securely attach. Here's a tip: my tractor has a backhoe on it so you really can't get around the back axle. Loop it around the ROPS where it meets the frame, then drive forward for a tight bind. Then use binders (boomers) for the front chains. Very secure! ... show more

Used this to wrap around a try to recover my tractor out of mud. If my tractor didn't have a tow hitch, I might have used this to secure around the axle so you might consider having two. These are pretty robust and for the money are a great deal. Recommended.

Seem well made. Exactly as advertised, axel straps. Made in China. These are stashed in my Subaru Outback for emergency retrieval. For light duty, 3333#, retrieval, especially when your vehicle has no tow hooks. Nice protective outer sheathing to prevent chafing damage to strap. Exceptional value.
