I have had the Rose and Newport sandals, but I definitely like these best. The Rose is still great but you are unable to adjust the front of the sandal to keep it snug around the foot when hiking more technical stuff. It is a good all around town type of sandal, but if you need to hike, it'll do. The Newport is great but heavy. The Whisper sandal has thinner straps but the same Velcro closure as the Newport so it can be tightened around the forefoot and this makes it almost feel like walking barefoot with protection. I think they strengthened the weaker points compared to the old pair. The part that finally wore out is more reinforced in these. I returned the first pair that was size 10 because the old pair fit large but I had to return those and go to the 10.5 and they fit perfect. I have to use the little loops to pull them on, but that's what they are there for. I love them for daily wear most of the year because I live near the river so it's nice to be water ready when on walks with my dog. I also enjoy not having to mess with tying laces or fastening straps. ... show more

These are to replace a pair that are at least 10 years old. And I wanted black instead of lt blue since they are now the ONLY shoe I wear due to foot problems. I have about 6 pairs of these shoes and I love them. They don’t need another great review but I wanted to add a few things. First of all I put my shoes in the washing machine every few weeks. I just let them air dry. I have been wearing these for over 20 years. I wear them every day for everything. I wear out the bottoms but I still can’t bear to throw them out. I still have my first pair. The last pair that I bought has a black bottom. I noticed that the black bottom makes my foot really hot. I won’t buy another black bottom pair in the future. They say they have an order resistant sole and iv noticed that the last pair is pretty true to that. However they still get bad sometimes I put peroxide on them over night and it works on killing the bacteria. I can’t say enough good things about them. Buy them wear them never a blister no breaking them in. Perfect every time. ... show more

This was the first time I purchase this brand, I read a lot of reviews, and so far I am very happy with them. I ordered the size I normally wear (7.5) and they fit perfect. I had been going on my normal walks daily using no-show socks and had no problems with the width. The first time they felt a bit tight but as I wear them they got looser. Great for long walks. Great keens. I’ve been a die hard keen supporter for years and have several pairs. I wore my blue H2s for many years until I wore them out (I still have them for odd jobs around the house). I looked for a while before I bought this pair because I really wanted blue again but couldn’t find any that were not camo looking. These have been great because they’re a little more feminine and I love the unique keen color. They fit great and they’re perfect for running errands or camping/going/walking my 200 lbs of Great Pyrenees. One thing to mention— I used to take my shoes off with my foot (side if one foot over the heel of the other shoe)— with these, I recommend using your hands to gently remove the heel support so that it doesn’t pull apart from the base of the shoe. ... show more

I tried to get different sneaker sandals for travel, but I came right back to Keens. They are beautifully designed. They cannot be killed, they protect your feet while also letting them breathe and stay stink free. Great for desert and rainforest hiking.
